HOMM was good. Then they milked it and it got pretty shitty pretty quick. Both are dead in my eyes unless something major happens.

Funny thing is, I played Kings Bounty back in the day ( god, im dating myself here... ) and frankly, its almost the exact same game the last good HOMM was.

So far the named features, gameplay designs and video interviews with the designers of both titles are showing great promise to me. Simple as that, if the games turn out crap then I'll say so. But your constant campaign of letting everyone know what you already said once is tiring over past titles under the same license.

So far these 2 titles look great, I can hold judgement until then.

Source engine, not Unreal.

Oh, and step away from the licence and look at the actual gameplay. You may actually find that this has some very cool stuff that's worth looking into

This game is far more combat based then Oblivion. Watch the sword fights they're very viceral.

I refuse to underestimate the M&M franchises ability to make bad games. HoMM5 will be decent, I'm sure. If they ever made M&M10, it'd probably be satisfactory at worst.

Dark Messiah? Until I see reviews guaranteeing it's not Warriors, Crusaders, or Legends all over again I'll pass, thanks.

I played the last M&M game at a lan and got dissed right off the bat. I tried to enjoy it though. Until I fought some mosquitos and clicked on a well for +2 stat. Harrrdd-corrre.. so damn fake. I power killed into a dungeon and none of it got any better. What was the point? Exploring the world of Might and Magic? I can hear that in the voice of the dude from World Poker Tour.

I know next to nothing about the Might and Magic games, but I'm looking forward to this one. There aren't many FPS style games with a good magic system, which by itself fascinates me. Most of the spells I've seen video of put the source engine to good use. You can drop sheets of ice, causing opponents to slip off cliffs, and knock out supports with a fireball to drop statues on them.

Add what looks like decent stealth and combat features and this could be a very fun action game. I'm not certain if they plan on introducing any RPG elements to it or not.

Humm, I've never been that fond of RPG's with action fps gameplay (heretic, hexen etc). Maybe this one will change my mind. Witchhaven was pretty good until it freaked out.

Arx is a GREAT oldschoold RPG. If you even remotely liked Ultima Underworld 1 & 2 you will LOVE Arx as it is basically Ultima Underworld 3 minus the Brittannian lore. Plus it has bumpmapping!

If you didn't like Ultima Underworld or don't know what it is or if your first RPG was Morrowind for the Xbox STAY THE FUCK AWAY from Arx Fatalis.

Arx is my favourite oldschool RPG beating Wizardry 8 and Wizards & Warriors in that area.

Dark Messiah doesn't look like M&MX nor does it look like Arx Fatalis 2 and that's why I'm disappointed :(

I'm totally excited about this game, but it has nothing to do with the franchise. I've never even seen a Might and Magic game. All I've seen is stuff about this game, which has looked pretty fun and great.
