Aspyr Media announced today that it has signed an agreement with JoWood to publish and distribute Phenomic's RPG/RTS game SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars in North America, scheduled for early 2006.

The most beautiful, perfect and deadly of the Dark Races -- the Dark Elves - are in league with the mysterious Shadows and are threatening to overrun the realm of men. Fighting against the invasion, players take on the role of Avatar, leading his band of heroes into combat against a sinister force while unraveling the truth behind this epic story. Avatar must forge new alliances in order to face the invasion and save the world of Eo.

This gives me a wide-on like you would not believe... It touches me in my "no" spot, eliciting a gentle, creepy kind of cooing sound. Good thing there's no one near me atm to overhear.
Spellforce rocked. Here I was excited enough by the idea of the Spellforce platinum edition being widely released in North America, this is waaay better!

I loved Spellforce, and the sequel looked great at E3. I can't wait to pick up the Platinum edition later this week.

Well Spellforce didn't get great reviews, so I sorta overlooked it. Maybe I'll pick up the platinum version.

I wasn't keen on the interface and lack of hotkeys for spellforce, but overall I liked the idea for the game. If the sequel improves on the original's faults and has a decent visual upgrade, it would make a serious contender

So much for the visual upgrade, that is one ugly game. :D

Spellforce was a great game! Except the voice acting was the worst I had ever heard.
