Dawn of War 1.41 Patch Released

Relic and THQ today announced, and then released a patch for Dawn of War and the Winter Assault Expansion.

You can get it in game by logging into gamespy, or via this link (http://ocs.thq.com/Patches/DawnOfWar/DOW-140-141.EXE). A version of Dawn of War Patched to 1.40 is required first. There should be a generic patch out that will patch any version to the latest in a few weeks (according to a THQ Rep).

Man, from reading the changelog it looks like the Orcs got smacked down pretty badly. That sucks. IMO they were already the weakest team in the game... though they were definitely my favorite.

Guess I can't say much till I actually play it and try the changes for myself though.

I dont think they'll ever get the balance right. The early bugs (were mostly Eldar) have seemed to caused alot of trouble and they changed the original strategies. The 4 squad cap killer cans just doesn't sound right at all. Sounds like the game has turned into a spamfest and they're trying to fix it with the same linear fashion. But what the hell do I know. I only play against cpus.

thanks for the worthplaying link. haven't started playing online yet, and i might never. i can never compete multiplayer in RTS games.

It takes a lot to compete online vs other people. I play mostly skirmish matches (with a 2 year old running around, you've got to be able to pause!). I just finished against the ork AI, and it's certainly not hurting because of the patch :-/

I play skirmish matches mostly because......I suck at most RTS's in comparision to the people online...and my ego cant take it.
