IGN has posted a review (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/934/934108p1.html) of Ubisoft Montreal's latest action game, Prince of Persia. The Prince received an overall score of 9.3/10.In every console generation there are one or two games that, regardless of any flaws, hold tight in my memory even years later. I can still picture scenes from Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo System as if I just played it the other day. Despite a flurry of great games released in the past year, I still get the itch from time to time to play Jet Set Radio Future on Xbox. Your beloved games may be different, but I’m certain most long-time gamers have a few titles they treasure – the games they can never trade in. Ubisoft’s relaunch of Prince of Persia may just be such a game for me from this generation.

It’s not the best game ever released on PC, PS3 or Xbox 360; it’s not even the best game released this year. And yet Prince of Persia is that rare game that has managed to tap into that part of me that would die defending Chrono Trigger or JSRF. It has its shortcomings, but I already sense that Prince of Persia will be one of the few games from this generation that I carry with me for the next decade.Update: 1UP gave Prince of Persia a B+ in this review (http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3171581).

Update 2: VideoGamer gave Prince of Persia a score of 9/10 in this review (http://www.videogamer.com/ps3/prince_of_persia/review.html) and GameDaily also gave it a score of 9/10 in this short review (http://www.gamedaily.com/games/prince-of-persia/playstation-3/game-reviews/review/7224/2214/).

Update 3: GameSpot gave Prince of Persia a score of 8.0 in this review (http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/princeofpersiaworkingtitle/review.html) and GameSpy gave it 4.5/5 stars in this review (http://xbox360.gamespy.com/xbox-360/prince-of-persia-next-gen/935077p1.html).

Ugh. I saw right at the beginning that it was a Hilary Goldstein review. No thanks!

Going to have to wait for a few more reviews to make up my mind about this game. My wallet hurts.

Did I miss something here? Who cares what her name is? Does that somehow invalidate the review (I dunno it might, she might have a history of shitty reviews).

Funny thing, in the end, is that Hilary Goldstein is a DUDE.

The only other review I know about is GamePro magazine that gave Prince of Persia a score of 5/5.

Edit: I've decided to update this post with new reviews because they have been coming at a rapid pace.

I thought Hilary was a girl's name, then again a lot of names can be used by both men and women.

The fact that the reviewer mentions JSRF as one of their favorites suggests to me that they are trustworthy.

Can't wait to play it, just too bad I can't afford it this year.

I dunno.
It just seems that if you have to add all this preamble to justify your point, then your point may not be valid.

For those of you considering picking up a copy of Prince of Persia that follow the News Items forum closer than the front page; I've updated this post with several more reviews.

Go back to gamefaqs.

I believe the term you are looking for is anti-semitic. :D
