For one split second I saw "You Don't Know Jack" and thought it was going to be an article about either the game or the developer and I was very very happy. And then the truth, and the sadness.

Exact same thing here Mos. Berkeley Systems' ending was such a shame. YDKJ and Acrophobia(for free no less) gave me countless enjoyable gameplay hours. Total quality.

What a great magazine....

When is everyone else going to notice and catch up?

I really enjoyed the article Dood, it's part of the game.

I read a couple of the past issues, and really did not like it much. I just went through half of these and I really enjoyed reading them. Odd, that. Especially considering most of what I read was about MMOs, and I really, really, dislike MMOs.

Seriously, I've never played an MMO, but I was totally interested. Do we not deal with "griefers" in other online games? There are people who play in an annoying fashion, but it just doesn't seem to have the same impact as in these games with economies and so forth.

I think The Escapist is well written, but the writings themselves are not very entertaining.

No, I don't play it. In fact, other than the one post we did here a few weeks ago about someone getting suckered into paying real cash for a virtual space station - I had never heard of the title.

It has taken a bit of dip recently. This week's is good though.

It's kind of interesting, but it's written from the slant of whining players who are upset about something getting nerfed rather than from the philisophical standpoint they claim. Is this a whining about griefers themed issue or something?

If I wanted to read that there are thousands of forum posts dedicated to it

A friend of mine plays it, he says it's pretty much just a very complicated chatroom, but he's not big on the cration aspect and I hear that's one of the key points to getting into it.

What about griefers on internet gaming message boards?

That was Project Entropia, actually.

Is this a whining about griefers themed issue or something?Er, yes. Actually. That's why each article is about it.

For some reason journalists are all over the world-type games like flies on shit.
It's probably the same reason that most of emjavoid covering gaming in general.
