Ritualistic (They are still around?) has posted a new Q&A (http://www.ritualistic.com/content.php/interviews/051115_sineps_01.php) showcasing Ritual's new Steam-delivered title, SiN Episodes.

Steam is an excellent platform for getting your game content directly to your audience and putting the original SiN out on Steam has been one of our goals from the start. The version of the SiN that will go up on Steam will be slightly different from the retail version in several regards. The most profound change is probably the way multiplayer works – it is fully integrated with Steam, so the game now uses the Steam server browser and you will be able to use the friends system to track your fellow SiNners.
Editor: Or you would be able to use the friends system if it was working...

They made Jessica Cannon look like Alyx, right down to the mole (http://www.ritualistic.com/potd.php/2005/1/potd051115.jpg). Bizarre.

Editor: Or you would be able to use the friends system if it was working...I thought everyone knew they were working on it. You could even see your FriendsID (FN#) for a few days.

Moles are unattractive. I don’t think her and Alyx look the same though, Jessica reminds me of Pippi Longstocking. I think that’s a nose stud instead of a mole if the thing on her nose is what you’re talking about.

Jessica… Cannon?? Pain!

But it’s crazy that they’re looking at shipping this year and they’ve already went Alpha. I’m looking forward to this game since I think it’ll be cool to get some episodic content in gaming.

AMEN!

Yes, Varsity, I know they're working on it, but it still isn't finished, and it was so annoying at first, that I still hold a grudge. :p

(And I LIKE Steam.)

On re-releasing the original SiN for Steam:The version that we're putting on Steam will be a tweaked version of SiN 1. SiN: Source, on the other hand, is a separate thing we're also looking at.

They've been 'working on it' since steam came out. Don't hold your breath.

Oh, I believe that they'll get it working eventually. I refuse to believe that the guys who made my beloved Half-life cannot figure out a simple IM type program. :(
