With many of the XBox 360 titles coming out this week, you'll probably wonder what to do with them while you wait for the console that plays them to launch. The following is the top 10 things to do with your games while you wait for the 360....

10. Use the case to balance your poker table, which is what you'll be playing until the 360 finally comes out.

9. Hold your PGR3 case in your hands like a steering wheel and make "Vroom vroom!" sounds while watching the speed channel.

8. Learn to juggle with the Microsoft first party titles.

7. Use the game inside as a Frisbee. By the time there's enough stock for you to get a 360, it'll be a $20 Greatest Game anyway.

6. Blind drivers on the road using the sun and the shiny plastic packaging.

5. Use the games as a makeshift blanket to keep warm while you wait in line at midnight at BestBuy.

4. Open your copy of PD0, stick in the Halo 2 disc. White out the PD0 cover and write Halo 2 in black sharpie. You'll be playing it more anyway.

3. Place the game in your XBox and Stare at the Next Generation of Error Screens.

2. Sell them on EBay for 3x the price

1. Put the game into the DVD drive of your computer and check it for a Rootkit.

Thanks goes out to Knite for helping me write the list.

I actually picked up a copy of Kameo yesterday to see if it would run in my dev kit, but it doesn't. :(

Many a thing said in jest. Fingers crossed that the multiplayer will be good compared to Halo 2 :D

Actually i've heard from someone who reads PC Pro that MS is using their anti spyware to remove the sony rootkit. I find that funny :D

May I respectfully request a number 11?

11. Add them to the ever-growing pile of Xbox, PS2, Game Cube and PC games you’ve still not opened or played (and will likely not do so for a long time).

Or is that one unique to me? :o

Yeah, there's going to be a Windows update to remove it. MS is pissed at Sony since MS is hyping DRM's so much, it makes the movement look bad to everyone(not just us).

Sudan agrees to Canadian APCs deployment for AU in Darfur
Sudan has given the green light for the deployment of armored personnel carriers (APCs) in its war-torn Darfur region to enhance the African Union's peacekeeping capabilities, the AU said.

That's kind of funny because I got a DS for free by doing that. A few days after they came out, there was a shipment of DS at my local walmart around 2AM, since DS WERE hard to find. I just happened to be in the dept, and saw the clerk putting 4 of them in the case. Now at this point I did not own a DS, but was toying with the idea of getting one. So I went home and looked up what they were selling for online. I found out that they were selling at a $50 markup. So a quick math computaion later and I wanted to buy all four. Needless to say those 4 were gone by the next morning, but I happened to catch ANOTHER shipment again at walmart late at night. As the woman was stocking them I told her I wanted all four. She sneared at me! She even commented that it should be illegal to buy so many at once! I claimed I had a bunch of cousins and it was the perfect gift for them at Christmas. She still sneared. I later found out I wasn't the only one with that idea. Turns out most of the sales I had online were from Hawaii and the like where the system wasn't showing up until much later than the US release date. I even gave away 2 crappy GBA games, that I wouldn't get a penny for at EB, to push the sales.

When it was all said and done, I sold 3 DS's each on an average of $50 above the retail price, in addition with a walmart employee discount, I actually made money. Enough money to pay for the copy of Mario64 DS I bought with the DS. I could just imagine what a 360 is going to go for release day.

#2 and #4 aren't funny, they are true :)

BTW Canadian 360s from the Win-A-360-Something-Something contest are IN!

First people are posting their photos and impressions from Kameo since it is packed with the console.

I played Kameo demo in a store. Now, if the game is anything like the demo. I would suggest putting it back in the box, going back to the retailer, and demanding your money back. I was expecting this game so much, I played it for five minutes and wanted to toss the controller at the screen (good things it was attached to the box).

I am not going to say anything about next gen games, because Kameo is surly not one. It would have made a decent Xbox title, maybe, though the sucky camera, sluggish controlls, and game play that is broken by cut scenes would probably not have changed.

I guess I can give them the benefit of the doubt because it is a demo.

*shrug*

I wasn't much more impressed with the demo of Kameo than you. You get used to the controls after fiddling with it for a few minutes (at first they seem strangely delayed). But apparently according to baps, that is just the training level. And we all know what a blast training levels usually are in games....

I wonder how well recieved PDZ will be. It's in almost every bundle so enough copies will be out there. If all it's good for is keeping the Halo 2 box warm, well that's really too bad... 8 more days!

Wow... who knew the Canadians actually had a military?Of course they're letting them deploy, it's been almost 2 years, everyone they aimed to kill is probably already dead. Woulda liked to see some protesters holding up signs that said 'send troops to the Sudan' instead of just the 'no war for oil' signs that they usually sport.

And the Canadian military has a proud tradition of deployment in nearly, or possibly every UN peacekeeping action, as well as acting as a first landing wave on D-Day screening the British advance onto the beaches. It may be small but at least they do a lot of good with it.

Eh, DRM sucks no matter who is using it. Sony, MS, Oscar Meyer, whoever.

I agree fully, but MS is trying to campaign to change that perception with the masses. Anyone detracting from that goal isn't going to make them happy. This Sony screw up has found it's way into the mainstream. DRM stuff really hadn't previous to this.

The reason I'm so put off by non-news posts like these is that I've been visiting EA for a few years and I don't remember shit like this being posted here in the past. My feelings also apply to the really awful italicized comments that have been cropping up more and more. Yeah they've been around for a while but only recently have they become really irrisponsible and immature. Yeah I know that EA is heavily Xbox Fanboyish and that's fine but if you're going to inject that shit into your news posts on a daily basis I guess I'll just find another site to go to.
I've donated to this site a couple of times but I don't bring that up to make any demands that stuff gets changed. I just want to say that the reason I donated was because I though it was a good site that passed on to others current video game news and was worth supporting. Nowadays I don't know if it's worth even visiting this site let alone donating money to it. I know that news, even video game news, can never be truly objective based on what stories they choose and choose not to post but I think EA has definitely lost a bit of its responsibility recently.

Well since I'm claiming to have personally seen a change in the comments made by those in control of EA I guess we each have different views on to what extent these comments have or have not changed. If I began coming to this site during this almost daily Xbox 360-based fervor found in the posts I doubt I'd stick around but I'm hoping this crap either dies down after launch or someone comes to their senses.

Taco

It's only prelaunch excitement. I'm not sure why it's surprising or bad that one of the most anticipated and talked about gaming moments in 3+ years is generating a lot of discussion and news posts. If the PS3 was coming out next week and the 360 was coming out in 2006 you'd see PS3 posts.

Oh, come on, the system is released in what... a week? Of COURSE there's gonna be fervour. It'll be around while people get used to their little toys and then the whole thing will start again next year with the PS3 and Revolution. This is a big year for console gaming with all three companies bringing out their big guns. You can forgive folks for getting like kids leading up to Christmas.
