I'm happy to announce that baby Avatar (Ivy) turned one year old yesterday. The happy little bug will be celebrating later tonight, due to my work week ending on Saturday night. Planned activities include opening presents and diving face first into cake.

Speaking of birthdays, I got one coming up and for an early gift my Mom sent me a copy of the Complete Calvin and Hobbes. Very nice, I think it's better done than the Farside version(which my Father has).

Congrats to Ivy! My 16-month old keeps me pretty busy, so just enjoy the times while she's still somewhat managable. Once they learn how to run around, say good-bye to doing anything productive while they're awake :)

For the love of God, keep the controllers away from the kids! We all know how our lives were ruined (in some cases, it's worse than crack or heroin) by videogames. I even turned tricks for a while in college to afford my next play session.
