All of you old school PC adventure gamers should stand up and take note, as A Vampyre Story (http://www.vampyrestory-game.com/) has released a demo. Why should you care? Simple. Bill Tiller, the main dude writing this game, also had a solid hand in some of great Lucasarts adventures. Which ones? Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, The Curse of Monkey Island, Outlaws and The Dig.

Today marks the first release of "A Vampyre Story" in it's first territory. To mark the occassion, we are proud to release the official demo, to allow everyone to get a sneak peek of the game.

In the demo, Mona and Froderick are in trouble: They are on the Vlad's Landing Graveyard and Picknick Grounds, looking for Mona's grave, in order to retreive some grave dirt that Mona needs to put in her coffin for travelling.

This short slice of the game gives a short glimpse of how versatile and multi-faceted the puzzles can be - as well as presenting the athmospheric art and music and humor, of course!

Go check it out!

From what I've read, the demo is pretty good but the voice acting for the main character is apparently kinda grating. That said, others on the interwebs say that the other VA is pretty good.

Personally, I'd be happy if this game displays even a 10th of the personality of Grim Fandango.
