Splinter Cell 4 Shots [XBox] [Archive]

XBox Circle (http://www.xboxcircle.com) claims to have the first screenshots of Splinter Cell 4. The shots show Sam Fisher with a shaved head and orange jump suit in jail. Apparantly the shots were ripped from an unreleased trailer for the game. You can see them here (http://www.xboxcircle.com/portal/content/view/699/1/).

As long as the story does not get all extreme and hardcore, this change of pace might be welcome. I just hope they do not have Sam doing anything so bad that he will never be able to rejoin Third Echelon.

I was referring to the horrible quality of the actual screen captures. It was just a joke. ;)

I'm wondering if Fisher's in prison because he's a criminal, or if he's in prison because he's feigning being a criminal. I mean, he IS a spy. It's possible he's after information a prisoner has, or maybe the warden is a terrorist or something.

OR... is he in prison because people THINK he's a criminal. Falsely accused... framed... etc.

The Splinter Cell franchise is one that just keeps getting better and better. As far as I'm concerned they could add no additional features and just pump out more maps and story content and I'd be happy.

Looks interesting. It may only be hypothetical right now, but the whole idea of Sam feigning a break with the military in order to infiltrate some kind of crime organization sounds really cool. The play mechanics that would force one to balance their criminal rep while appeasing his government superiors could be interesting, especially if situations are introduced that require on-the-fly decisions that really impact things later on in a mission or in the game as a whole.

Or the game could be The Suffering with snapped necks and shadows/darkness that don't work at all in the real world. All I know is, they need to change Splinter Cell a fair bit for me to be interested.

At the beginning of the game he has already screwed the pooch somehow because he has been dishonorably discharged from the military. So I think there is no going back to Third Echelon. I wouldn't mind if the game took a more graphic turn, Sam Fisher is like the "ULTIMATE NINJA" and it's time to let him exact some justice the way he knows best.

The rumor to the back story before you start Spinter Cell 4, is that his [Sam's] daughter dies in a car accident. Sam some how flips (don't know if he kills the person or goes off the deep end looking for the killers). But what ever happens, it seems he is kicked out of the service, maybe robs a bank, gets caught and ends up in jail. But this is only going off the information we know.
It could be all a ploy to put Sam in jail to meet up with a contact...
