Kameo and PGR3 HD Videos

The new issue of PLAY has some very nice screen shots of areas not seen before in Kameo. It looks much more "adventure like." I have to admit i wasn't all that impressed with the claustrophobic demo. It just seemed less like a fully developed gameworld and more like an arbitrary collection of obstacles with which you have to use the corresponding creature to overcome. However these new shots show areas that look much more organic and look alot more promising.

Amazon has pissed me off with my Kameo order... It still hasn't shipped, and I hadn't realized this. So last night, I spent what money was left on my bank account (I used a gift certificate on Kameo) so now they won't have enough money for shipping until later in the day. Guarentee those stupid fucks cancel my order. Lately, Amazon has become crap...

I don't really care anything about getting my copy early, really. But Gamestop called me yesterday with the implication that I need to pick it up soon. So I guess I"m going to go get it today... so I can stare at the box.

I didn't care for the Kameo demo at all. In fact, I still have to be impressed by the first batch of 360 games. Waiting for a system to show up in a pawn shop in a few months for half the price.

When I played PGR3 I noticed the motion blur effect.
It was fine, cool even when I was going in a straight line, but when you made a hard right or left any tall buildings in the distance would "ghost" as they slid offscreen.
It kinda made me nauseous, like I'd eaten a bad egg or something.

I get a similar sick feel when I play Doom 3 with heavy mousesmoothing on my Athlon 2800. Maybe its motion sickness from the images not lining up quite fast enough.

This is the game I intend to get on launch day ( and would have be Oblivion... but :( ). Its looking pretty damned good, just hope they tone down the shine on the cars a bit. Still, they are less shiny then the last video I watched so thats a good sign.

Nice. PGR3 has been impressive thus far in every aspect. The 360 ads on TV are refreshing as well...anyone seen the water balloon one?

I finally saw that new PGR3 cities video. I hate to say it, but this will be the first racing game I buy since Tokyo Extreme Racing on the Dreamcast.

I hate racing games, but these graphics impressed me so much that I can't say no. Kameo also looks very impressive.

I saw an X360 system in action at my local Best Buy last night. About 10-15 men, all ages 18-40, all standing in awe as COD2 action was unfolding.

And, dammit, I may have to buy an HDTV after all. It looked SWEET on the hi-def monitor.
