Kingdom Hearts 2 + TRON

As you can see in a scan posted in this thread (http://www.ga-forum.com/showthread.php?t=70700), Goofy, Donald and that cutie Sora are fully decked out in the duds of the Master Control Program universe, as well as Mr. Kevin Flynn himself, Jeff Bridges. Having the crew of Kingdom Hearts tackle a world based on a live-action film is nothing new to this sequel as a world based on Pirates of the Caribbean, complete with a seriously detailed Johnny Depp has long since been revealed.

I've not been that impressed by Square-Enix's efforts this generation to be honest (except KH1 and FFX), but none of that matters if they can just get this and Final Fantasy XII right. Dragon Quest VIII turned out to be a nice surprise (I got the demo, game comes out the 15th) so here's hoping for the best.

I will agree with you on Final Fantasy X, it did suck especially when compared to all the hype and fanfare it recieved. Probably not going to change your mind, but go and rent Kingdom Hearts and give it a shot; you will probably be impressed.

The disney cutesiness of the first Kingdom Hearts isn't what bothered me, I just didn't find it all that fun. The combat wasn't very compelling, and I wasn't into the characters or storyline. Maybe the sequel has improved on those aspects? They'll need to do more than add TRON for me to pick this one up.

Add me to the list of people that weren't turned off by the first game's "kiddiness," I just saw a friend playing it and it seemed VERY repetitive.

Kingdom Hearts was a good concept saddled with useless side characters, boring combat, so-so adventure, and absolutely horrible character design changes. Any game that casts Lance Bass, loses my vote. (Please let KH2 keep the Japanese track...) I know no one who enjoys this game for any reason better than "it's shiny" (actual quote) and it's easy.

And count me as one of the people who /are/ turned off by the over used Disney style. Let me pick my own sidekicks, like Squall and Cloud... not freaking Donald and Goofy flying in a Gummi ship. With (the completely awful) Pirates of the Caribbean and FF7:AC outfits in this one, they might as well just slap a "For Fangirls only" tag on it... and none of them will have heard of Tron.

I have to admit though, KH2 does look, visually, dang good. I wanted to like the first one, and would have if it wasn't so repetitive. Hopefully they can shape things up in this release, and this won't be the one nerd level of the game.
