Looks like Hudson has finally caught the Wii bug and will be looking to release one new full game and three new WiiWare games.

Japanese publisher Hudson Soft held a media event today in which a slew of Wii games were announced. Three WiiWare releases will be made available digitally while one disc-based game is in the works.

Help Wanted is a mini-game-filled "life sim" in which "players are sent on a mission to save the world from impending extinction by completing fifty different jobs," according to a Hudson press release. Those jobs include "Pizza Chef, Stunt Car Driver, Sumo Referee, Action Hero and Sushi Master" among others.

Pit Crew Panic hopes to blaze new trails in the possibly lucrative "panic-action" genre. Players send all-female pit crews to repair "a variety of bizarre 'WHATSITS' as fast as they can." The "WHATSITS" vary in size, from backhoes to bridges. Four-player online stuff-fixing races will be available when the game lands on WiiWare, which means it will be digitally distributed by Nintendo's Wii Shop Channel.

Snowboard Riot brings violence to snowboard racing with weapons including land mines, homing bullets, and invisibility power-ups. Four-player online racing will be an option, as will using the Balance Board accessory included in Wii Fit. The combat racer will also be a WiiWare release.

Finally, Pool Revolution: Cue Sports attempts to bring a pool table to the living room by taking advantage of the Wii Remote's motion-sensing capabilities. It includes a host of game modes such as eight ball, nine ball, rotation and snooker, and allows for up to four players online or offline. Pool Revolution is a WiiWare release.

Help Wanted will be coming to the Wii console by traditional disc-based means in summer 2009. The other three WiiWare releases do not yet have release dates or pricing information.

Is it just me, or do a lot of Wii titles remind you of first-gen Playstation titles where a ton of publishers had no idea what would work in 3D, and so just threw out totally random games in the hope they might work?

Hey, no one is asking you if you want more of this trash. Just report the news please. No need to get into the whole "Wii is for shovelware" elitism that goes on here.

How long have you guys been posting here? This has been an Xbox-biased website since at least 2001.

People like Certis (Nintendo supporter) were only exceptions to the rule.

Aren't there a lot of pool games for the Wii already? Why make another one?
