Rumours have been floating around that a relatively new studio "Blue Castle Games" has been put in charge of the sequel to Dead Rising. It seems like that rumour has come to fruition.

Rumours that the Vancouver-based outfit was working on the zombie project first emerged last year, but neither the developer nor publisher Capcom has confirmed anything on the record. But while Eurogamer was on a secret mission in Vancouver last week, we were told by a source familiar with the project that Capcom has indeed farmed out development to the Western team.

The source said: "Everyone's really excited; the team has obviously seen the rumours and it's been hard to keep quiet, but they can't wait to show off the game."

Full details, but no screenshots, right here. (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=285199)

We have lots, believe me, they are all in homes in small towns, or in cars.
And I think it should be said, Canada gives some zombie love.

Here's to hoping for more of the zombie-bashing that was good, less of the absurdity in the story (tank), ridiculous difficulty and horrible AI?

Being a western studio, maybe we could even dare to dream of co-op? =p

This is a franchise that really needs a western developer.

Canada gives some zombie love.

I saw lots of glaze eyed zombies in Vancouver scavanging for food in garbage cans, crawling about the alleyways, and accosting passerby in broad daylight even, so I don't think your statement is accurate, else they'd be living in all the new apartments being built over there.

As for Dead Rising, as long as it doesn't have the stupid time limit, I'll be happy.

Makes no sense. Zombies don't live in apartments, they do what you detailed.

Ya...give zombies hotels right before we kill them. Nice.
