MTV is set to announce something tomorrow at 7AM PST. Something which 1Up (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3171015) is guessing based on anecdotal evidence that its going to be that the Beatles are coming to Rock Band.

MTV is preparing a major announcement tomorrow morning involving an unprecedented partnership to develop a global music project with Apple Corps Ltd. (not the iPod guys, but the multimedia corporation founded by the Beatles). Nobody knows for sure what they're planning to reveal at 7:00 a.m. PST tomorrow, but -- considering the parties involved and their history -- we can probably come up with a pretty decent guess: The Beatles may very well be coming to Rock Band.

I've got my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed.

I would buy every single Beatles track they released.

Once the Beatles are available, the only one left to get is Zeppelin.

I actually hope not.
Only because the songs don't seem to lend themselves to the gameplay IMO.

Seems that Hard rock/Metal songs are more fun to play with.

Here is where different tastes/opinions come in to play. :)

While I haven't given too much thought to how the Beatles themselves would do for gameplay (I do think it would be enjoyable), I know I hate playing metal in RB. I find more rhythmic/melodic songs fun (which tends to be most of the southern rock, strangely) along with the songs I love of course; but this could just be that I don't dig most of the metal tracks and thus I don't do too well on them.

That and I don't practice every day. I find Hard to be the fun difficulty for me, but again, if I put in a bunch of time to take guitar on Expert for everything, maybe I'd find it and the metal fun also. *shrug*

Beatles, yes this is the good kind of music that will get me to buy Rock Band 2. Admittedly I love me some good Metal and all, but darn if I don't dislike playing it in video games gimme some good old fashioned rock to play with friends.

The Beatles would be awesome. I agree some of their later songs might not translate over to Rockband all that well, but I guess Harmonix could do what the Beatles did in concert and stick to mostly earlier songs.

I'd tack Pink Floyd onto the list, but we all KNOW that'll never happen. :(
