This one comes from GameDaily (http://www.gamedaily.com/articles/news/miyamoto-we-have-many-games-in-development-for-loyal-nintendo-fans/?biz=1). Zelda mastermind Shigeru Miyamoto has assured the Nintendo loyal that yes indeed, there are more games in development.

Speaking to GameDaily BIZ, Nintendo's iconic Shigeru Miyamoto promised that Nintendo is currently hard at work on several games for this core audience.

"...for 30 years now I've been making games and for the vast majority of time I've been making the type of games that the loyal Nintendo fans enjoy. Those are the types of games that my career is based on and we're going to continue to make those types of games. In fact, we have many of those types of games in development right now," he assured us.

Hey! Great!

I'd really like to dust off of my Wii and use it again. Literally.

Can we expect a new Zelda before Christmas 09?

Does this mean I'll get to use the Wii again? I can't remember the last time I turned it on. None of the games have interested me since Boom Blox.

The Wii was kinda dry this summer, but i've been playing it a lot more lately thanks to Megaman 9 and recently GT:WT. After seeing the TGS Wii games, I think that next year is going to be awesome for Wii.

Some may see this as sad commentary on the recent game selection for the Wii, but I have really been loving Dr. Mario on-line.

I haven't touched mine since Mario Kart. I'd like to see at least one decent game coming within the next six months, otherwise this one's going on Ebay.

GT:WT?

All I can come up with is a misspelled Guitar Hero: World Tour.

Not a problem there. I have plenty to keep me occupied, and I got a few titles for November/December that I'm waiting for.

But what I really want is for Hudson to announce a US date for Alien Crush Returns. :D

Or Cue Sports: Snooker vs. Billiards.

I'm good with this. I still haven't finished Metroid or Zelda for Wii, and I'm currently working on No More Heroes when the grinding doesn't piss me off.

But, it probably means most of these games are a year or more away from even being previewed, which means they are two or three years from coming out. I hope I'm not right about that.

I bet they save them for the next gen. Why bother with them now?

If I see the words "Wii" and "dust" in the same sentence again...

Especially after the torrent of solid games that just came out for it between retail, VC, and WiiWare.

Er. yeah, that's what i meant. I've been so used to calling it GH4 that I think i just mistyped that one; and we all know about the lack of an edit button here...

There may be some "solid" games for it, but there's nothing that I'd like to play on it rather than playing one of the better games coming out on the Xbox360, PS3, or PC. I think that's my problem. It's not that there's NOTHING to play, it's that there's nothing ENTICING to play.
