TeamXbox (http://www.teamxbox.com/) is hosting a high-def trailer (http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/9691/Madden-NFL-06-High-Definition-Trailer/) of Madden NFL for your viewing pleasure.
WOW.
There are a few shots of T.O. in his Eagles' uniform, I guess Xbox Live! is going to have to fix that when he gets dumped to another team.

Looking better. I still can't stand the player models in madden. They are so unrealistic. It looks especially dumb now that the player faces are so dead on.

That game really doesn't look next gen to me. Maybe I'm just spoiled by my PC games, but that looks like it could be done on a normal Xbox if it supported such a high res.

Models still disproportionate. Animation still unnatural looking. And have they STILL not implemented gang-tackling?

The Madden team really dropped the ball with this one. Both next-gen NBA games (especially NBA 2K6) look far, far better than this.

Madden for 360 definately seems like version 1.5
They made just enough improvements graphics-wise to have a new version for next-gen, but thats about it.
I mean, I remember reading in an interview where they basically said they could have included features like gang-tackling, but wanted a version of the game available on the launch date.

Well, I think banter about a video game differs greatly than banter about any of the above categories I mentioned. That could just be me though. I rarely have the energy and frankly the knowledge about music to banter about it. I just don’t like being told what I should like or shouldn’t like in music.

I'll stick with my espn 2k5. No need in buying another 55 dollar game when it's the exact same version as last year, with a new roster and some new mode that does nothing to improve game play.

Well, I have played it and it is pretty fun. I personally don't like the Gran Turismo / Forza games because they are too real. It is hard to control the vehicle and in general, it is more of a sim. NFS was a lot of fun...but there needed to be more pedestrian cars on the road. This could have just the level I played though...

I'd much prefer seeing gameplay than these types of trailers. Especially for sports games.
It really does not look that good to me. Bad animations, unrealistic textures and play doh looking models. Yep, it's a Madden game. Same game, higher res. They need a new engine.

Best thing about the trailer? The weather effects. That's it. Player models look horrible - from the proportions down to the stop-start animations. Not to mention the utterly lifeless faces.
This is one game that so far hadn't made it to my list of purchases and nothing I've seen has convinced me otherwise.

The Xbox demo was fun. Certainly an improvement over NFS:U 1&2. No way best ever though.

Anyway I doubt everyone will think it's the best racing game ever, just like people argue that Ninja Gaiden isn't the best action game ever. But hey, it's really freakin good. Glad to see some other people here played it too.

Looks decent. I will buy it to have a nice 360 game to play, instead of using my PC with the current Madden. Eagerly waiting 2k7 though.

I will be impressed when the NFS series returns to the Road & Track franchise and also includes damage. I'm sick and tired of seeing a fiberglass sports car run over a light pole, a parking meter and a metal mail box and only slow down 5mph and not have any damage. In real life the driver would be dead, the car would be in a million pieces all over the road and it certainly wouldn't be going 120mph still.
