In an interview with gameplayer (http://www.gameplayer.com.au/gp_documents/Tom-Clancy-Megagame.aspx), Tom Clancy's EndWar Lead AI Programmer Vinh-Dieu Lam spoke in detail about plans to tie all the different Clancy franchises together into one super game in the near future.

Chris Stead: When you say future tie-ins, how far will you take it? Like, would we see a multiplayer game where someone is flying the jets using the HAWX mechanics, while someone else is controlling a squad on the ground Rainbow Six style?

Vinh-Dieu Lam: Yeah, eventually. But in the next versions you’ll find, say, missions generated in the next Ghost Recon (presumably GRAW 3) affecting the world map in the next EndWar (presumably EndWar 2). So maybe in the next EndWar you will need to attack Paris but before you can it may generate some sort of Splinter Cell recon mission or a Ghost Recon mission or things like that. But that is the direction we are looking at.

Aside from the massive resources they need to do this and make it work, I'm kind of surprised they didn't think of it sooner. I mean, it makes sense.

Of course, in a business sense, it doesn't, because you're putting all these gameplay elements into one game that used to be in a bunch of different ones, so someone at the top may not like this one so much and decide to trash it before it gets anywhere interesting.

That sounds really cool, actually.

lets just hope they make it more realistic with the fps part like old school ghost 1 or 2, not like graw with all its holirfied crap.

If they pulled it off, it would be incredibly cool.

That sounds like a big "if".

It'll probably still be pretty sweet, but I doubt any of the elements will have the same polish that the standalone games have. Think GTA, it's hella good. But the driving isn't as good as a racer, the gunplay isn't as good as a shooter and the fisticuffs aren't as good as a brawler.

I think hes referring to multiple games that would have the ability to communicate with each other if the user has them, with added features.

For example, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, detected if you had previously played the first one and rewarded you for it. This might be something similar, but with a bigger degree of integration.

A "super" game like the one the journalist is referring, is not very feasible, considering the production values of each separate game, and having those translated into quality gameplay elements in one single game.

Agreed.
I've always liked this idea.
