Team Xbox (http://www.teamxbox.com) has the details (http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/9675/FOX-Named-Licensing-Agent-for-FirstParty-Games/).

Fox Licensing & Merchandising and Microsoft Corporation announced they have entered into an unprecedented relationship surrounding certain Microsoft titles for the long-awaited Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, which will be available in the U.S. on November 22, 2005. Fox L&M will manage a licensing program for the titles and will seek partners in a broad variety of product categories including apparel, accessories, social expressions, toys, and select print publishing. "We are thrilled to be working with Microsoft Game Studios and the Xbox New Media and Franchise Development Team to license amazing video game franchises," said Fox Licensing & Merchandising Executive Vice President Elie Dekel. "Our expertise in licensing entertainment properties to teens and young adults is a perfect complement to the consumer base that Microsoft is targeting." Fox shares a similar creative vision for our game franchises. We are looking forward to working with Fox on delivering quality products that showcase the stories and characters behind these unique titles," said Peter Moore, corporate vice president of worldwide marketing and publishing at Microsoft.

Really, I guess that keeps you in line then. Not talking about all those hookers, and stripclubs. And lets not forget the cocaine. I guess we can add pillow fucking to that list. :D

I think the white trash that will want to buy most of this merchandice probably won't be able to afford to purchase an Xbox360 for a while.

Whenever someone's wearing an XXL hoodie or NFL jersey, or applies styling gel over unwashed hair, or puts on a Nintendo t-shirt, or wears a hat indoors, that's a social expression (I guess).

Well, there you go. Congratulations. You're already socially expressive. For added effect, consider wearing it backwards, or sideways, or supplement it with a do-rag. For the continuity of your social expression, under no sircumstances can the hat be taken off at school, or at the movies, or a house of worship, or when when you're appearing at your workplace, or especially during a meal with other people partaking.

Maybe they mean something similar to product placement in movies or television shows, but rather than blatantly pimp the game itself, the show/movie/magazine will attempt to introduce a "hip" social expression through dialogue: "Oh man, your girlfriend is totally going to go Joanna Dark on your ass when she finds out you cheated on her!", or "That babe is so 360 ...". :p

Umm ... since PDO is rated M by the ESRB isn't the statement by Fox that, "Our expertise in licensing entertainment properties to teens and young adults is a perfect complement to the consumer base that Microsoft is targeting." a bad thing?

I felt bad about unleashing that sort of message of impending horror ... but I'm over it. I challenge you to tell me that Fox would not stoop to that form of marketing. :D
