Gameplayer (http://www.gameplayer.com.au/gp_documents/No-GoW2-on-PC.aspx) spoke with Gears of War 2 lead designer Cliff Bleszinkski today and unearthed the info that unlike the original, there is no way the sequel will come to PC. He also talks briefly about the game's chances, or lack thereof, of appearing on PS3.

I asked, ‘Is it inevitable that the game will turn up on PC down the track?’

His response was swift and definite, “No, definitely not. This time we are just focused upon a console version of the game.’ And yes when pressed he of course confirmed that by ‘console’ he meant specifically the Xbox 360. Although he added “Gears of War could work on PS3, but we don’t think our publisher would be too happy with that.”

And so the definition of "timed exclusive" now encompasses clearly telling the masses that there is 'no way' it will come out on platform Y.

I bet a year from release day.

I think it'll be released on the PC eventually too; a lot of this "never" talk is probably the result of Microsoft telling Epic they can't talk about a PC version because it would affect sales of the 360 version.

Who wants it on PC anyway? GoW is only a good game in the context of console games. Like Halo. It actually sucks.
