What's with the lighter in lit places?

Eurogamer has posted a handfull of production stills (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=61509) from the upcoming Silent Hill movie. "The script has been written by Killing Zoe director and Pulp Fiction co-writer Roger Avary. Christophe Gans is directing, and Uwe Boll is not being allowed to have anything to do with the movie whatsoever."

It looks pretty sweet. Silent Hill is probably my favourite horror franchise (I was never a big RE fan). If they can capture the sense of dread from the games (instead of just having lots of zombies) then I will be suitably impressed.

That said, is this an original Silent Hill story or an adaptation of the first game? I'm just wondering where Harry is...

Its in a way a combination of the 1st game starring a woman than mysteriously looks like the char in the 3rd game. Might just be the 1st game with a female protagonist though.

Whatever the case I was hoping for more rust n chains n stuff in the pics, this looks too clean.
