View Full Version : Schappert Claims Not to Know When GTA4 DLC Will Be Released

Eurogamer has an interesting piece today regarding GTA4 Downloadable Content. They interviewed John Schappert (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=256096), who is in charge of Xbox Live and he had this to say:

"Frankly, I don't know," said the Xbox Live boss. "Rockstar are the people to ask for that."

He went on to add, "I hope as a gamer, just like I'm sure you do as a gamer, the sooner the better. I can't wait for it." Even though, Schappert confirmed, he hasn't had the chance to give it a play as yet.

While this could just be him ducking a question, its a bit concerning when the guy in charge says he doesn't know when arguably the biggest piece of DLC Xbox will have released up until this point, will be coming out.

remember the good old days when games actually had release dates that they would come out on and it wasnt just a "whenever it comes, it comes" mentality? me either..

Does anyone actually play GTAIV anymore? I cant do no more than 5 minutes before i realize that clipping the dogs claws will be much more exciting -and has a better soundtrack.

Yeah if it doesn't come out soon, I believe it will have missed its time. Considering the XBox Live guru doesn't know when it is coming out, that leaves me to believe that soon doesn't describe the release date.

They don't when it'll be out because Rockstar hasn't actually started making it yet. ;)

Let's just hope they don't release it around the time Fable II and Fallout 3, and Saints Row II are out... or it's going to get a 'meh' from everyone. I can't believe I'm going to say this.. but I think they should wait and release next year when the game slump is back. Not when it's raining AAA games.

Saints Row 2 a triple a title? I don't think so somehow. It looks quite ropey to these eyes.

GTA DLC could come out anytime and people will buy it. It's GTA after all.
