I thought X3 wasn't due out untill Saturday, Nov. 5th.
The Legend of Zelda: The Complete Animated Series.
I don't remember ever watching this as a kid. Then again, maybe I did want to forget it.

At last, a weekly release list that won't have me cursing my decision to stop buying games until November 22nd.
I will, however, be going to see Jarhead this weekend. Even though I think Jake Gylenhaal is a turd.

Could it be that we are both what's called 'jaded gamers'? Perish the thought.

This list is a breath of fresh air...nothing I have to own. Phew.
And Jarhead looks excellent. I love that little "bumbumbum" music that plays during the trailer...anyone know what that is?

Grr, I need a new PC so I can play Battlefront 2. Even though the first was one of the worst online FPS's ever, I still had a pure blast.

Hey there...what's happening. Listen, I'm gonna have to...ah...go and disagree with you there. "The Big Lebowski" is a brilliant movie. Oh...and could you have that TPS report on my desk by noon? Yeah...Thanks.
(Not sure why I wrote that in the voice of the boss in "Office Space". Here's a more appropriate quote)
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."
EDIT: I suppose the Office Space reference is fitting after all since it was just rereleased on DVD.

The last thing that movie is is "overrated fluff", it's easily one of the best films to come out of the states in the last ten years. Get a grip.

You see, it's all about opinions. No-one's right or wrong. My opinion is that Donnie Darko is grossly overrated, almost to the point of fanboyism for movies.
Also, Garden State is one of the best movies to come out of the US in recent memory. My opinion, of course.

I'm probably the only person here completely uninterested in seeing Jarhead. I dunno, the commercials just looked 'meh' to me. I'll wait and see what reviews (and you guys) say, for sure, though. Maybe I'll be swayed.

Funny you should mention that as one of the 'best movies to come out of the US in recent memory' when you're talking about overrated films. ;) Don't get me wrong, I own and love Garden State... it's just not *that* spectacular.

...I can hear Natalie Portman saying that in Garden State, coincidence, or intended?
The movie was ok, although it just makes me think that generation is an even bigger bunch of losers than mine.
Be interesting to see if Jake can play anybody beside Jake. Everything I've seen him in, it seems like the same character, just in a different scenario. Now if I can say that after reading reviews of Brokeback Mountain and Jarhead, that'll be somewhat entertaining, lol.

Am I the only one who choked up during Garden State when Frou Frou's song "Let Go" kicks in as Zach Braff is heading up the escalator? Ugh, what a wuss. I had to buy the goddamn soundtrack too. I haven't been that choked up in a movie since Cruel Intentions when Ryan Phillippe is coming up the escalator to meet Reese Witherspoon, and Counting Crows "Colorblind" is playing.
...wait, anyone else noticing a pattern here?

www.guitarherogame.com is the game's official site. It has a tracklisting, pictures of the game and the guitar peripheral, and the such-like.
I've got it preordered; Harmonix has yet to disappoint with any of their games (I still play FreQuency to this date) and after reading Tycho from PA raving about the game I'm all but certain it's gonna rock.
:D
:: EDIT :: I just checked Gamerankings and the first review (from OPM) gave it a 4.5/5.

No. The pre-order special began last week, the game began shipping on Monday throughout North America and Europe for *non-pre-order purchasers*. Some pre-order purchasers managed to receive their box sets early, and those who didn't can definitely expect their copies to arrive this week.
I know that sounds confusing, but that's how we were told it was working. So technically you're kind of right, and I'm kind of right... so I think that makes us both right. Right?

The thing is, quite a few European PR agencies are significantly nicer than some of the ones here in the States, thus I/any journalist can find out that kind of stuff right away without having to way days on end for an answer to a simple question. Only problem is the time zone differences, so you have to drop them a line early in the day or face not getting a response until the next business day.
That said, you're welcome... I think.

If you want, we can do it together. I'll stand by a phone outside a store across the way and you can collect people's cash bags, telling them that the bank is closed but you will take care of their deposits, all while wearing a security guard's outfit. If the cops get suspicious, have them call your headquarters (the payphone I'm standing near).
