Welcome to the latest action packed episode of Hockey Night in Hell on EvilSPN!

The 2008-09 NHL (http://www.nhl.com/) season gets underway tomorrow when the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers take to the ice in the Czech Republic. If you're a hockey fan it's time to show your colors! As your unbiased host I must remain neutral, but I can pass along this quote from some other guy... Your team stinks and the NY Rangers will win the Stanley Cup!!

Captain Lou will lead the Canucks to another mediocre finish in the season. If we're lucky and our young guys can continue their scoring streak from the exhibition games...well, then I'll be a happy camper...otherwise, I'll be an unhappy ticket holder :(

Islanders!

I miss the '80's.I worked in a shop that had three Islanders' and two Rangers' fans back then. It got pretty ugly more than a few times. ;)

Here's a quick rundown of the current NHL

Fuck Dion Phaneuf, Fuck the Calgary Flames.
The Avs are terrible and need to be retired.
The Sharks are terrible and need to be publicly shamed.
The Ducks are still a bunch of goons who need to be punished.
Captain Lou needs to go from the top rope against all who would oppose his solid wall of goaltending, while the children we've called to score goals need to remember how to pass.
The Sedins need someone that can play with them.
West coast hockey pretty much owns, someone trade Crosby to a team that would actually use him.

It's already clear the Rangers will win the cup. I'm caling it.
I think they need 2 more good D pickups and they will be rock solid. Every line is dangerous this year, and Naslund looked like he was in top form.

Now if Khalinen can start hitting the net...

Oh, and any other Ranger fans out there, how odd was it to see shots from the point this weekend? ;)
