If you head on over to the new XBox (http://www.xbox.com/) website, you can now create your gamercard and setup your myXBox account. While there's very limited functionality till the 360 comes out, you can see your friends list, see when they were on last and what they played.

Sorry Perigon, I jumped on your XBox Live name as soon as I heard the announcement. Can't let something as sweet as "Perigon" just sit around unloved.

How the hell can I change my email address for passport? I had to sign in with my old email address and I didn't see a place to change it. I have it all set up but under the old email address. I guess it doesn't hurt much since I can't log into live right now... ...I sold my Xbox and can't get back on till November 22....

Try signing out and then signing back in. It should give you the option to enter a new address when you sigh back in.

Just buy another subsciption card, the account information should still be on your xbox, and if you had to switch xboxes, I believe that there is an account recovery option.

Names stay active for a long time. As far as I know MS hasn't reset any of accounts which have gone inactive. You should be able to do an account recovery with your 360 when it shows up.

Ok... wasn't able to get Perigon. But that's ok, that's just fine... For now XBOX Live will know the horror of SCREWDICES!

Here's the scoop. When you get your Xbox 360, you're going to select 'recover your Xbox Live gamertag'. It'll ask for your gamertag, then your passport member name and password. There's a couple of pages to make sure your info is all good and then your home free!

Your current remaining subscription will automatically migrate over into an Xbox Live Gold account once Xbox 360 launches.

You'll start off with a rep of 3 stars when you first sign into Live on the Xbox 360

I'm pretty sure it would be the same deal for an expired account, you'd just have to input a new subscription code after completing all that.

Might go back to Perigon when the 360 comes in then. Dunno. Just trying to get Screwdices to work on my XBOX right now and that doesn't seem to fly...

You know what's even cooler about Screwdices, than just the name itself? It came from the random name generator in WoW when I was making my gnomish mage :p
