Cliff Harris, the independent game developer with Positech Games who gained attention for trying to open an honest dialogue with pirates (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61047) has finally released Kudos 2.
He was originally planning to charge $29.95 for Kudos 2, but after receiving the feedback from the open dialogue, has decided to reduced it to $19.95, with no DRM.

At last! The sequel to our popular strategic life-sim game Kudos has been released today!
http://www.positech.co.uk/kudos2
Kudos 2 is a strategy game where you control someone's life from age twenty to thirty. You start the game with no money and a poorly paid job, and have to balance your friends, your health, your career and your finances to achieve whatever goals you set yourself in those ten years.
Do you want to be rich? happy, have a wide group of friends? educated? intelligent? or cool?
Every decision you make in kudos affects the way you turn out, from what TV you watch, to the books you read, the Movies you see, even the food you eat.
If you liked the original game you will LOVE the sequel, which has customizable avatars, a much-improved interface and bags more to do. There is (of course) a very long, free demo here:
http://www.positech.co.uk/kudos2/Kudos2DemoInstaller.exe
And the full game is only $19.95, on sale direct from Positech with no middle-men to take a cut.
For those of you unfamiliar with the series, the original Kudos was a great life simulation game, reminiscent of Alter Ego (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alter_Ego_(video_game)), except that it focused on the journey from age 20 to 30.
