PSP.IGN (http://psp.ign.com/) has a hands on preview (http://psp.ign.com/articles/662/662142p1.html) with the upcoming PSP zombie gorefest, Infected. The game sports a ton of zombie slaughtering action, including quite a few multiplayer modes.

And then there's multiplayer. Infected includes five main multiplayer modes, including deathmatch, team deathmatch, savior and mad cow. Deathmatch plays out like most deathmatch scenarios, only in Infected, you also have to worry about peripheral zombies. So not only do you need to dodge fire from whoever you're playing with, but also dodge incoming snot balls from zombies as well. In Savior, you and a friend (or several friends) need to battle each other, zombies and rescue a bunch of civilians by finding them and taking them to a helicopter rescue center. Picking up a civilian is a simple matter of running into them, though, so the action never really slows down. At the end of the match, whoever rescued more civilians wins.
Release Date: 11/15/2005 (PSP (http://www.gametab.com/psp/infected/3154/))

Sounds cool. Hopefully it'll hold me over till Dead Rising on the 360.

Is it just me or does it feel like there is a glut of zombie-themed games coming out? Not that I'm complaining, eating human brains is certainly a noble pursuit.

Not to mention that I happen to be in the game. Surely that's a selling point? :)

That's why I'm not buying the game. Or, I might purchase it and take a steaming, watery dump on it.

Lucky prick.

The polite thing to have done would have been to negotiate a free copy for your closest friends, all 4,128 of them.

which reminds me... when you got scanned, did you get to play any of it? How are the controls? My only gripe about the PSP hardware is that they didn't put a stick on the right hand side for shooter control. =( Coded Arms just isn't a good game on it's own, granted, but it really proves as well that shooter control with a single stick is sucky (hence my standing assertion that while the PSP is the better of the two handhelds overall between it and the DS, the DS will kick the PSP square in the jimmy for FPS games thanks tothe touch screen).

I was not present for the scanning process. Basically, my wife took some pre-specified digital pictures of me in our backyard and I sent them off to Majesco.

ah, gotcha.

Well, the game still looks/sounds interesting, but I'll wait for reviews to see how the controls come across.

I didnt want to dump on you...my cat was walking across the keyboard and it accidentally typed that. It was a celestial coincidence. I blame entropy.

You know me, man. I'm a class act. I would never say anything derogatory about another human being.
