Gamecloud (http://gamecloud.com/) has posted an interview (http://gamecloud.com/omg.wtf?lolz=2068) with lead designer George Andreas regarding Kameo: Elements Of Power.

Here is a bit from the interview:
We also have co-op over split screen. So from day one, you can get a taster of how much fun co-op gameplay in Kameo really is. We also have the ability to replay action sections like I stated above, and these really come into their own when you try to score attack them. That's the great thing about the whole Kameo package, it has so many features and aspects, that it's not the usual run of the mill action adventure. It offers something for everyone. If you want to play the great single player adventure, then you can. If you want to play co-op, you can, if you want to score attack the levels and post a score on the leader boards you can etc... There's so many different ways to play the game and replay the game that the whole Kameo package is quite unique for this type of game.
I am pretty stoked about this game after reading bap's preview and this interview.

I pre-ordered this game a little while ago due to the strength of the in-game gameplay and graphics. Everything i've seen seems to mirror my opinion...I went from completely uninterested to eager anticipation.

I have yet to hear one bad thing about this game. Everyone that plays it comes away raving about it.

Yeah, what a turn around. Too bad I don't get a 360 this year...

More than happy waiting...

Sounds like a potpourri of a bunch of run-of-the-mill platform games.

There's no way I'm putting my money behind a Rare product without reading a ton of reviews and getting a couple of hours hands-on after the triple travesty of Star Fox Adventures, Grabbed by the Ghoulies and Conker's re-packaging.

Considering that's ALL they have to show for in console development since the first time they gave me a Conker (which I loved at the time)....

Everything I see about Rare games makes me happier I'm not adopting a 360 this year.

Fairy snuff with SFA and Grabbed by the Ghoulies but plenty of people quite enjoyed the Conker rejig.

When I saw this waaay back when for the Gamecube I wanted it and it doesn't seem to have done anything but grown over it's development marathon.

Plus, it seems to be one of the few launch games using the 360s power at any level above what the XBox could achieve. At least you can't say Rare have been lazy on this one.

I too was not impressed with the Rare offerings on 360. Conker was less than I'd hoped for and Grabbed by the Ghoulies was drek.
PD0 I think will be entertaining, but I get the feeling that the game was rushed. The AI hasn't looked too bright so far. I do think that people haven't given it a fair shot and keep comparing it to Halo..which it clearly isn't the same type of game.
Kameo has really surprised me. Every trailer makes me want this title more and more. Graphically, it is one of the best looking titles for the 360 so far and it seems to have enough depth to keep me entertained until Oblivion and Saint's Row roll into my hands.
It will split time in the 360 between CoD and Condemned as the other two games I will have at launch...but the announcement that Quake 2 is included with Quake 4 makes me think i may just pick up 1 extra game.

Co-op on Kameo? That's the second joypad purchase confirmed.

Interestingly, Kameo is the game I bought a gamecube for. Regardless of the fact that it's Rare, and I've loved Rare since Cobra Triangle and Battletoads, I was excited that there was going to be a game with a dark skinned protagonist that kids could enjoy. I liked the idea of a middle eastern, black, or even south american girl being able to say "hey, she looks like me" for the first time in the history of the world. Many times white people don't realize how important that is.

Needless to say, the wind was taken out of my sails when I saw how they had lightened her up to the point where she's basically just another white charachter now.

I choose to believe that microsoft wanter her to be dressed in green (For microsoft) as opposed to the original colors of her costume, and her new more peachy flesh tone matched the emerald color better than her darker skin. I don't like believing the alternative... that microsoft told Rare to change her and make her white to sell her to white people.

Wow, maybe she has Michale Jackson's disease. You know, Vitiligo.
Ok, we both know that isn't th case. You do make a good point, but we have went over this topic before. There were more minority heroes in gaming than I initially though....like 2 or 3 of them. I feel your pain man.

But you know what was more interesting, I looked had never even noticed it and I have 130+ Xbox games until someone brought it up.

EDIT: You know, I dig her costume before...I hope they make it an unlockable.
