Well that post on the WOWGuru forums seemed pretty solid to me. Although there is enough content listed there for 2 to 3 expansions. I think that the lore explaining the Blood Elves joining the Horde and the Dranei joining the Alliance was well done and probably right on. Now of course the details, like the listed racial traits, probably won't be entirely correct. But I think the basics are probably going to be very close to the real deal.

Oh and in case anyone missed it, here's a link: http://www.wowguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8952

The level increase and new areas MAY get me back in the game. It's could it's not coming out this year, there's too much crap coming out right now as is.

In that case, maybe they should release it next summer. :P

I still find it hard to believe that they could possiby raise the lvl cap to 75. What will they do about the incredibly difficult to balance talent trees? Epic Gear?

I'm willing to bet that the answer somehow involves you doing the same instances over and over. Just a wild guess.

No Pandarens = No sale. That's pretty cut and dry for me. I don't want to play a Draino Warrior. They've already screwed Goblins, so Pandarens are really my only hope of ever getting to play a Warcraft race that I like.

What exactly are these Pandarens and Draino?

Are pandarens really a "warcraft race"? I'm pretty sure they're not part of the lore (can anybody prove otherwise?) and I don't think blizzard would put a joke race into their game as anything but a... joke.

Blood Elves and Draenei seem to be the major contenders. Personally, I hope they AREN'T the playable races. That just totally messes up the universe. Both races are supposed to be nearly extinct, how will blizzard explain thousands of BE spellbreakers running around? Ogres for the horde would be a logical choice. For the alliance???

...Yes, they are a real Warcraft race. Yes, they are part of the lore, and have a detailed backstory. No, they were never a joke race.

They were an April Fools joke at one point, but it turned out people really liked the idea.

Yes, pandarens are a real race, but they never gave much of a backstory on them nor is there any reason to believe that there are very many of them. There are plenty of Blood Elves still around, however, I'd say about as many as the gnomes and tauren. And it does make a lot of sense for them to ally with the forsaken, though neither of those factions belong in the horde.

As far as the draenei go, there arent supposed to be very many of those, but I dont think many people would play as them anyway. Perhaps blizz is trying to use that to balance the ally/horde ratio a little better. Tons of people will start BE characters, but not too many are going to be draeni if thats the new ally race.

Glad to see they toned down the BE racial traits from the initial reports I read.

AoE Silence attacks and mana sunders were just ridiculous.

Meh, I may play a spellbreaker if that is actually in there. Depends. I am very fickle about what type of melee hybrids I like to use.

This looks to me like a very clever fake. Reading on in that forum has confirmed my beliefs

You are all fools, Spybot is the exact same guy who made the INCREDIBLY real looking fake 1.8 patch notes. The fake notes were impeccably detailed and fooled the entire druid community into thinking they were real. After 1.8 was released, he admitted to this and dissapointed everyone being that the real notes were nothing like the fake ones he posted.

These notes are nothing more than guesses and are not real or accurate by any means. Don't waste your time.

Edit: And yes, he DID sit down and make up this whole story. His fake 1.8 notes were incredibly immaculate and real looking, he just has too much time on his hands.

What i would like to know if how much the expansion it would cost, and if they any extra subscription fee or it will be the same for both game.

This isn't like the City of Heroes/City of Villians. This will be an addon to WoW, not a standalone game. This will probably sell for $35 at release, and be included in the stanard monthly subscription of $14.95.

I dont see why the monthy fee would be any diffrent at all, the only time when I've heard of a monthly rate change is for CoV because its so extremely massive. As for off the shelf cost, my guess is 50$ just because, honestly who's not going to buy this thing, I mean I know I'm most likely going to but it, mabye not on launch day, but I'll pick it up sooner or later.

I'd just like to point out that CoV doesn't add onto the subscription fee. That was just something they discussed early on.

I'm pretty sure that I've got access to all the pandaren info known outside of Blizzard, so I'll do a quick Pandaren Primer. This has been cobbled together from information on Blizzard websites and the Warcraft D20 RPG products. Please bear in mind that Blizzard can be incredibly contradictory and have no problem changing their backstory whenever they deem neccessary.

The Pandaren Empire.

The Pandaren Empire was founded before the Great Sundering. The pandaren shared their corner of the world with the night elves and generally got on quite well. As the night elves' magic addiction and ensuing madness got worse, the pandaren quietly moved away from their neighbours, eventually settling in a land across the sea that they named Pandaria. On the way, they had conflicts with the centaur and still hate them to this day.

The Pandaren.

As a race, the pandaren are noble, honourable and friendly. They believe in the harmony of opposites and this often makes them seem eccentric or contradictory to other races. All pandaren have some kind of art or craft that they perfect throughout their lifetime and master craftsmen are greatly revered. They are pacifists by nature, but their wardancers are some of the deadliest warriors in the world. Wearing elaborate but light bambus armour and wielding shaktani warblades (read: katanas,) they use their surprising speed and agility to defeat the enemies of the pandaren.

A cornerstone of the pandaren way of life is alcohol. A pandaren's ideal day starts with quiet meditation and ends with a good drink shared with friends. Pandaren who are particularly fond of the drink may become brewmasters, mystic warriors who invoke the spirits in plants and other ingredients through special brewing techniques. This allows the brewmaster to commune with these spirits and gives their brews magical properties, similar to conventional potions.

Spirits are an important part of pandaren culture. Pandaren geomancers appease the spirits of the land to ensure the safety of the pandaren people and can unleash elemental fury upon their enemies.

The Shodo-Pan was once the leader of the Pandaren Empire. Now that the empire is no more and the pandaren have returned to a simpler life, the Shodo-Pans are the heads of the shao'dins (clans.) The Shodo-Pans are the embodiment of the pandaren way of life and are masters of both the Dance of War and the Hundred Spirit Songs. There is no noble class in pandaren society, any wardancer or geomancer may be chosen as the next Shodo-Pan. When one is chosen, they are trained in the other art. In fact a wardancer is forbidden from using his sword until he is fully trained as a geomancer, or vice-versa.

Hope that helps.

the only time when I've heard of a monthly rate change is for CoV because its so extremely massive.

And that was merely expected. Didn't happen at all. It was more cause CoV was being released as a seperate, stand-alone game (i.e. not an expansion) than that it was massive, though.

Diablo 3 exclusive to Xbox 360. Line starts on the left to watch Borys hang himself.

Blizzard seems to be one of the companies not eager to shit on their fanbase, thank you very much.
