The Suffering: Ties That Bind is an action-horror game that emphasizes the disturbing terror of its predecessor, with all-new twisted creatures and a few familiar faces. Set in the slums and prisons of Baltimore, the player once again controls Torque as he seeks revenge against the mysterious grand manipulator Caleb Blackmore, a man somehow tied to the death of Torque's family.

I'm going to grab the Xbox version this weekend. Maybe I'll review it for EvAv so I can get a cool red name.

The prisons of Baltimore?? There are prisons here? I live in Baltimore so I'm going to have to give this demo a try if for no other reason.

My, this demo sure is a well-designed piece of software.
/sarcasm

The mouse pointer is off by nearly a quarter of the screen in the menus. I don't know about you guys, but that's a really bad first impression.

The game runs like ass on my A64 3700+ with a 7800 GTX.

Strange the game runs fine for me, i have the menu issue and if i change the resolution above 800x600 i cant see anything :/. this is looking like another 50 dollar coaster i purchase, man why does every pc game i legally purchase turn out to be no fun :/, the only exception is half life 2.

Don't buy this game until the first major patch comes out. It's one of the buggiest POS games I've ever tried to play. In the first 5 minutes of play, two scripted sequences wouldn't fire so, initially I was stuck in the prison yard till I restarted. Then the second time though, after I got out of the prison yard, the NPC that was supposed to follow me to open some doors didn't. I'm not going to waste my time fighting game bugs just to play it. No software is perfect but, I expect to be able to get from beginning to end without any game stopping bugs.

I've noticed that if I set AA in the video card drivers, many of the intro movies in games aren't visible. Wonder if that's your problem?

I'm fairly sure the demo ran fine except for the menus. Also, is it supposed to be that foggy? And are there not supposed to be any flesh/face textures?

You know it's a POS... it's in the name... "The SUFFERING".

They're talking about your play experience.

A third fan emerges! Loved the 1st game on the Xbox, too bad they apparently fucked up the PC demo, way to go to sell a game...
