IGN (http://cube.ign.com/articles/661/661552p1.html) is reporting that Famitsu is reporting that Suda 51's (Gouichi Suda) enthusiasm for the Revolution controller will result in a game.
Suda reveals that he's finalizing plans for an original Revolution game. While details are a secret at this point, he tells us that we can expect something extreme, in line with what one expects of a Grasshopper title. The game will focus heavily on direct input through the controller, and will, he promises, exceed Killer 7.
This is among a number of new comments on the controller from Japanese developers, which IGN has summarised here (http://cube.ign.com/articles/661/661554p1.html). However it is the only in-development confirmation.
This should make the other three or so people who bought Killer 7 happy. That control really makes me feel that Killer 7 was made in the wrong generation.
I think Killer 7 should have used a Lightgun as input method instead.

Killer 7 would have been sweeter with a lightgun, but I bought it and really like it for some reason I can't explain. The crazy-as-hell story grabbed me by the mean bean machine and wouldn't let go.
I think it's funny that the makers of the game with the worst control system in a damn long time are one of the first to announce a revolution game.

I liked "Killer 7"'s control scheme. I don't really need to be able to stand next to the window if there's nothing to do at the window. I am pretty stoked about the Revolution in general, and I look forward to seeing what Grasshopper does for it. Now if we can get the "Katamari Damacy" guy to do something, we'll be cookin' with gas.

Killer 7 really should have been a revolutiong game- Shoot with the B button on the back, and move foreward with the A button. Come to think of it, any lightgun game would work on the revolution. Imagine a lightgun game that wasn't just an arcade port- one with deep gameplay and a long story. That would be so cool.

I'm thinking of picking up Killer 7 used. I noticed the local comic shop has a copy.

killer7 is worth playing but infuriating: the control system is both good and bad, the bad is having to continually press the shoulder buttons to enter aiming mode and scan for enemies, two thing you naturally do ALL THE TIME... hello worst RSI ever. The style and story are compelling and the game sucks you in bad, but damn if it's not the most dissapointing game I bought this year. The enemies also seem to lack any form of cooperative AI.

That's why I figure used (and with my employee discount) it's probably worth it.

The game wouldn't have worked with a typical control scheme. You being wedded to a cliche doesn't make it a bad control layout.
