Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com[/url) has the scoop that Peter Moore let out a few details (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6136508.html) about 2 unannounced Rare titles in development for the XBox 360. These titles have been in development for 2 years now and should be announced this coming spring.

It's becoming quite clear that when Microsoft purchased Rare Limited in 2002, it wasn't to make Grabbed by the Ghoulies or a remake of Conker's Bad Fur Day for the Xbox. Games such as Perfect Dark Zero and Kameo: Elements of Power, originally slotted for the GameCube, were pushed back for the launch of the Xbox 360 to give the console some firepower for day one.
Hopefully we'll see some new IPs....and not a Grabbed by the Ghoulies sequel.

Mind you, we'll probably only see them on the Xbox 720 knowing Rare's track record, but hey: here's to hoping!

A new KI would be fine as long as they completely changed the combat system. They had some interesting characters, but it seemed more like a memory test than a real beat-em-up.

Yes, these games will be ready just in time for the next Next Generation.

Glad I'm not the only one wanting a new KI. And before anyone brings it up, Rare does own KI, not nintendo.

I'd prefer new IP. KI was fine for its day, but I'm not jazzed about a new iteration...look at the scrutiny of PD0. If they would have given the game a different name, I guarantee the expectations would have been lower and the game wouldn't be receiving the flak that it is.

I want to hear more about FASA and the new Shadowrun! Now that was a franchise made for updates on each successive generation.

Unfortunately the announcement of new Rare titles doesn't excite me like it did 5 years ago. :/

Still, here's hoping that they can come out with something truly worthy of the Rare name.
