Activision was kind enough to pass on five behind-the-scenes videos for their upcoming Quantum of Solace game. Among the topics discussed, the team talk about how the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine is bringing Daniel Craig's latest James Bond outing to life on the small screen.
Click the headline to check out the videos - I think you'll like what you see. Oh, and Dame Judi Dench is so damn classy! I wish there was a way to get Helen Mirren in a Bond movie alongside Ms. Dench... My world would be complete if that were to happen.

This game looks set to live up to the lofty expectations. I hope they are able to fully capture the intensity of Daniel Craig's Bond (not to mention his lovely eyes!).

Honestly, why do people still get excited about this stuff? When was the last, decent, movie licensed game? Riddick? That was over 4 years ago. Every time people tell themselves, "this time it's going to be different" (see the current disappointment with The Force Unleashed) and every time producers rush a game to release, because nothing has changed. These titles will sell on name alone, so there is absolutely no incentive for the producers to put out anything more than a halfway decent looking game with some good marketing behind it. Quantum of Solace may turn out to be the ever so rare exception to the "all movie games are crap" rule, but I'll wait until after people who have actually played it are claiming that to get my hopes up.

So I guess a day one purchase is not on the cards for you, then?

Damn, that looks frickin' awesome. Can't wait for it.
The economy won't allow a November game, but I don't think I can help myself. Quantom Of Solace and COD 5, here I come!

Cool, I was looking for the PC thing at the end of the video, missed the little Games for Windows thing.

All they talked about was TECH and access to the movie details.. How about focusing on GAMEPLAY! ! ! ! !
sigh.. they'll never get it. Movie games suck because they always don't pay attention to the core issues. GAMEPLAY GAMEPLAY GAMEPLAY.

I've shrugged my shoulders at licensed games for as long as I can remember. I would still play them, but they are never worth a purchase. This one might be another Riddick, but I seriously doubt it.
