Monday. Time fo look back at another glorious weekend full of gaming (or not, if you were unlucky). So, what did you guys play? Did anyone check out the Motorstorm 2 demo? Mercs 2 still tearing up South America? Geo Wars 2 maybe? Tell us all your adventures, right here!
Finished Braid. It was indeed very good, that endgame bit was excellent. Also returned to Persona 3, still fun. The MS2 demo was alright, but didn't scream must-buy. Also some 4 player Castle Crashers, one word. hectic!!!

Played some 1v1 Gin Rummy against my girlfriend. I won 5 matches and she won...well, none. :D We also played a 2v2 match, which was a lot of fun (not just because we won). 2v2 is very well implemented in the game.

I played a little more Indigo Prophecy and I started up the Darkness. I am enjoying the Darkness, but I am constantly confused about where to go. And the voice of the Darkness itself give me the heebie jebbies.

Beat up on Zeus and finished God of War 2. Now I need to pick up Chains of Olympus. I also spent quite a bit of quality time in Liberty City, crushed the enemies of the Immortal God Emperor in Squad Command, and got owned by my daughter at Life (family board game night is a good thing).

A crap load of Spore. The more I get into the space phase the more I dig it. Has anyone actually made it to the center of the galaxy yet? I just got to the edge of Grox space and I have no idea how I'll ever make it through all of that.

I spent Friday looking in bewilderment at my 360 as it got the RRoD after what was probably the culmination of the worst week in recent memory.
On the positive side, that forced me to spend a lot of time this weekend playing Persona 3: FES. I'm almost at the second (technically third) full moon encounter. I'm just trying to take out the boss on Floor 36 of Tartarus... it keeps wiping my party :(
I also played some Spore and showed it off to my friends. If you ever play a game and something called Sammy's <whatever> shows up, that's probably something my son helped design. I have no idea why he's obsessed with the name Sammy, but EVERYTHING is named Sammy in his world.
Other than that, I fiddled with The Last Guy a bit (still stuck on the fourth level - Berlin) and a bit of Disgaea on the PSP.
Oh, and I went to the zoo.

Silver lining of 48 hours worth of near-constant rain: nothing better to do but game.
I actually started playing Condemned Saturday. I just wasn't in the appropriate mood the first time I gave it a spin at a buddy's house. Going back at it - I'm really impressed. Pretty damn good game thus far. (Just wrapped The Library)
Other than that - liberal amounts of Castle Crashers until I could get my mitts on... RB2, bitches! And that occupied pretty much all of Sunday.

Oh my what a weekend I had !
I got introduced to something called "Playing Gears of War COOP". Personally, I cannot remember how long its been since I played such an "epic" game. We played it easily 6+ hours non-stop. Now I know what GOW is all about !
I'm sure I will replay this game at least 3 times.
Adding to the COOPness, I tried Kane and Lynch. The game is amazing ! I love how the story is going so far.
Coop games are truly fantastic ! I hope they keep up with the COOP trend.
My friend showed me Advance Wars: Dual strike on the DS. Still I cannot determine if I should get or not.
Yeah, co-op Gears was pretty amazing.
I didn't have much gaming time this weekend, but I did manage to finally finish up Braid. Great little game.
Team Fortress 2 and Baldur's Gate (in the Baldur's Gate 2 engine). Bliss. I forgot just how much I loved the old AD&D BioWare games. Maybe I'll pull out my Gold Box collection next, and go really old school.

Played through TNA Impact's story mode to completion over the weekend (the "story" was kind of disappointing). Also got in a little Crisis Core on Friday night and finished up Sunday grinding through Chapter 3 of Disgaea 3. Good Times.

finally finished odin sphere, wound down on disgaea and put in 7 hours of persona 3 after overcoming the initial 1 hour of watching nothing much happen.

When not delving into the many pages of reading textbooks and/or journal articles...a boring game I must say...I finished GH II on medium. This is a major feat for me since I didn't think I could ever play GH at all. True I only beat it with a controller...but i'm still mighty proud :). Also played Co-op GH II with Ms. Clause which was a blast. Trying to get the "perfect" achievement, there was lots of cussing when we missed notes...next up is to actually learn to use the "guitar" on medium so I can work my way up to...gulp...hard. No way I can do hard with a controller...

Spore was played, as was Infinite Undiscovery. I also now own my first piece of epic RED equipment on Too Human!!
Saw Burn After Reading as well, very funny stuff.

I would have really liked to play some CoD4 because of the double XP weekend but that didn't end up happening. I did however play a bit of Mario Kart Wii with my roomate and some neighbors so that was pretty fun.

Also played a lot of Madden 09, and some Metal Gear Online.

Finished TNA Impact's story mode and got all the secret achievements that give points. I'm gonna keep at it till I unlock everyone in that game though...I want the full 1000. Next week it's back to Too Human...gotta grind to 50.

For once I actually played what I'd planned to play - made it through all of Indigo Prophecy in an evening session and a morning session. I know where the "last 1/4 is shit" part starts, but it doesn't bother me at all. I liked the goofy bits.
Great game, and I usually hate QTEs. I'll have to rethink my blanket, generic rejection of QTE-based games - Bourne Whatever, Heavy Rain, etc.

I'm on the verge of the second Full Moon battle (well, third not if you count the one right at the start). I can't stop playing this game... not that I want to.
Is it wrong for me to want a game that is based solely around the social side of the game and to just forget about Tartarus altogether?
And congrats on Odin Sphere. I need to get back to that game. Is it worth going all the way through or is it more of a time sink than good game/story experience?

Castle Crashers and Rock Band until 10 AM yesterday, then Rock Band 2. One of my better gaming weekends in a while.

I played GTR Evolution, Requiem and Call of Duty 2 on the PC. I also kicked my brother's ass in Madden on the 360.
NHL09, and Too Human rounded out my weekend, though I fear I'm almost done with Too Human. Maybe 10-11 hours gameplay?

I sat down and made some progress on the 360 version of Command & Conquer 3.
Although I've completed the PC version, I want to finish the 360 version before I fire up Kane's Wrath (which is sitting unopened on my shelf).

Nope, right there with you. While the tower is in no way bad it can get tiresome (floor 67 now). Looting is still fun, but I find my biggest reason for playing them is the story between and the whole friends game, which is interesting as hell. Battles are a bit too simple for my taste.

Fallout (the original). The inventory system sucks, and my own guys keep shooting me in the back of the head, but man, this is a good game!

Adding to the COOPness, I tried Kane and Lynch. The game is amazing ! I love how the story is going so far.
An underrated co-op game. I actually never played it in single player, but co-op is great. A game that you can easily play through twice because the two of you can switch characters for the second run through (second time, play it on the hardest mode).
For me, lots of Team Fortress 2 whenever I could find time. A wee bit of Dark Messiah of Might & Magic.
On the console front, really only had time for a game of NHL2k9 on the Wii (not bad) and more My Life As A King on the Wii which is a surprisingly addictive and relaxing game that successfully makes you go "just one more day" for far too long. :)

I finally finished "Too Human." I spent about two hours grinding my guy up to level 29 so I could use some cool stuff I had and then went back to get the final boss!! I'd like to do some co-op now and perhaps start another character.
I also made some good progress in Resistance...1/2 level away from finishing.
Finally, I spent Sat night playing the socom beta. If anyone else is on there my PSN ID is "cepwin." I admit I'm not very good....my old reflexes can't keep up with the 15-30 year old guys.

Played some Shadowrun bot matches and played around with some Halo Actionclix figures I bought. I got a High Prophet of Regret that I found out is Super Rare but came unglued from the base getting out of the package. Super Glue to the rescue!...only I accidentally glued it on backwards. So I just twisted it until part of the clear plastic column broke from the underside of the figure and reglued, viola. So I guess you could say I didn't really do anything this weekend.

Since I have 3 day weekends (don't work Mondays, work 4 10 hour days), I also beat Condemned 2 yesterday. Has a better conclusion I suppose, but I wasn't ready for the game to end. It didn't feel like an endgame. Especially compared to the first game, where you get to make a choice, and know that the game is over.
I also played more Eternal Sonata (so beautiful, but characters and dialogue can be annoying as hell) and popped in Just Cause last night. Will need to play more of that in the future.

I've been home since Friday so does this still count as my weekend? Of course, I'm caring for sick children and wives... er... wife.
Today shall see me playing through the Civilization stage of Spore and trying to work more on Persona 3 a bit more.
