With Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe just a couple of months from release, Midway has decided to come clean on the game's character roster.

Imagine the fun they could have had with this engine. I, personally, would have loved to see Batman breaking Deathstroke's spine.

I can see why they made the choices they did, when it comes to what capabilities and moves each character is likely to make...except for Superman and Captain Marvel. It'll be interesting to see how those two are different.

Also- there'll be a barebones plot at least, right? Anyone else think that plot would be awesome? Liu Kang and Batman, Johnny Cage and...aw, what the fuck, no Johnny Cage?! He could've had witty banter with The Flash.

And which Flash and Green Lantern will it be, I wonder? Mmmm...unlockable 'Nightwing' (they're not called re-sprites, what are they called now?) for Batman would be the stuff of dreams.

Happy with that. Not too fussed about Green Arrow.

I would have liked Nightwing and Robin but they wouldn't have brought much to the game that Batman wasn't already offering.

I can't wait for this title but the character roster just makes me want DCU. Where's Chemo? Where's the Rogue's? Where's Blue Beetle and Booster Gold? It's all OK that they aren't here, they'll get an appearance in a bigger game.

Swords, Guns, Martial Arts, Mercenary, Healing and all…..about the only thing I think is different is that Deathstroke can’t teleport (Marvel ftw!). I can’t wait now…this game is sounding and looking better and better. :D

I'd have liked to see Kabal return. On the DC side, Bane, Green Arrow, Dr. Fate, Wildcat, The Creeper, Shade, Blue Devil, Metamorpho, Manhunter. Oh, and John Constantine. Not sure how that'd work, but if it did...awesome.

Really they could have just done a DC comics game. Even in the weak MK fighting system. MK characters don't interest me at all. DC character would have actually sold this. Doomsday may not be a character ( reference to plot device comment) but neither are most of the MK character. Plus I thought they beefed up his character over time.

I actually find additional characters as a just-tolerable form of DLC. My issue is they never put enough stuff out. I want a big choice.

Supposedly it is Jordan. Someone had a screen shot of Green Lantern and it looked like Jordan. This doesn't mean they don't change it before final. Better question is who is The Flash...

Saturn Girl would have been nice. Her powers would have been fun to implement in a game.

The devs must really like the Teen Titans cartoons if they are including Deathstroke, because I see very little reason to include him in as a fighter in this game otherwise. Lady Shiva would have been a better choice, perhaps.

I was going to also say Superboy Prime, but then, it got me thinking, "Hey, wait a minute, Superboy Prime has been wayyyy overused since his reintroduction into the DC universe. So to hell with having him in this game."

I'm the only one who misses Mileena, apparently. Also, I'm in agreement that Harley Quinn and Scarecrow would've been awesome. Reptile's missing, too. Come on, I feel like if you have Scorpion and Sub-Zero, Reptile should be there, too. I probably wouldn't play as him, but I still think he should be there.

Aquaman could have been the Dan of the Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe series! :D
