A prett decent update this week, though nothing terribly exciting unless you're a fan of PAIN. Here's the full list from the PlayStation Blog (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/09/11/playstation-store-update-51/):
PS3:
JEOPARDY! ($14.99)
Motorstorm: Pacific Rift Demo (Qore subscibers or purchasers of Episode 4 only)
PAIN Amusement Park ($5.99)
PAIN Characters: Tati, Kenneth, Yeony ($0.99 Each)
FIFA 09 Demo
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Demo
Weekly Rock Band Tracks
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Metallica “Death Magnetic” Album ($17.99) [Available Friday 9/12]
PSP:
Field Commander ($14.99)
Again, that Motorstorm demo is a tempting reason to grab Qore, but there's now way I'm sending the message that I'll pay to get a demo early.

Unfortunately not everyone will feel that way. I suppose the idea is that we are paying for Qore and getting the demo as a bonus. Qore isn't bad but it is not something I am wanting to pay for either. I think they know it too because almost every issue has a "bonus" beta or demo.

Yeah, I guess it is just a bonus for them, but it's the only reason I'd even be remotely interested in Qore. Ah, well, I'll just wait for the demo next month.

I was interested in Jeopardy until I saw the price tag.
Too bad. Could have been an additional game to Bubble Bobble that the girl will actually play with me.

Anyone know if the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith demo works with a Rock Band Guitar? Specifically for the 360 version?

I have no shame in admitting that I bought Qore specifically to play Motorstorm: Pacific Rift. And you know what? It was worth it. The demo is totally sweet. I had so much fun with it, I played it like 10 times in a row. Its excellent.
The kicker is that the Qore content won me over once I stopped playing Motorstorm. The Little Big Planet feature was really nice and I feel like 3 bucks was a small price to pay for what I have got out of that episode.

It does. Starting with GH:A, all guitar and drum games are compatible with each others' instruments.

Two questions:
1) I had heard that there was a bug with the PSP version of Puzzle Quest. Does anybody know if they fixed this for the download version?
2) Why is it taking them so long to release old PS1 games for the PSP? I would love to be playing more old PS1 games on it and they release them at a snail's pace. The console will be 6 years old before they have released 2% of the PS1 games. It is bizarre.

Charging to play a demo? kind weak
see PSN is not all free. suckers!
Not as a reason to start an argument but merely a point of information. Silver Live members have to wait up to 7 days for demos.
All the more reason not to purchase Qore to get the demo. Don't give Sony any ammo to start charging for more of PSN.
Finally. I'd say you could get a pretty good feel for the new title by playing the old one.

Well I bought the first issue of Qore and the latest one. First off the ads are less intrusive in the fourth one which is nice.
The first I bought for the socom beta, and the latest I bought for the info. LBP, bioshock, the new prince of persia, and a LBP theme was too good to pass up for three dollars. Plus its in HD, and then the demo was just icing on the cake, and it is fun.
The fourth issue of Qore was the first I thought the content was strong enough to justify a purchase without the added benefit of a beta being thrown in. Otherwise I would not buy it if it didnt have a beta key in it that I wanted.

Weird. I have an email from PSN telling me about the motorstorm demo with a code to use to download it.
Anyone else got this?

1) No one knows, but probably not. I played a ton of the PSP version, crashed a few times, but didn't lose anything. It's a fun game.
2) Licensing issues are a B. That's the only reason I can think that they haven't released that many PS1 games. I'm sure there are other issues as well. They released Spyro 2 and removed it due to technical issues.

Well, if it's any consolation. The voucher expires on 10/10/08. After which it will be freely available for download from the PSN store.
I've played the demo for a bit - the graphics are great as with the original motorstorm - but Xcite Truck (Wii) is still the game to beat.
