City of Heroes PAX 2008 Giveaway

Now that things have finally settled down a bit, I realized that I have 2 exclusive codes for City of Heroes to give away straight from PAX 2008.

What do they do? They unlock a unique in game item, one that can ONLY be obtained from the special cards given away at this year's Penny-Arcade Expo.

Winners will be announced on Tuesday. Anyone is eligible to win but according to the a post on the official CoH forums, the codes only work in their respective regions. These are from North America.

Awesome, I love me some unique in-game items. The last really cool name I got for one of my CoH characters was: Password. She is pretty cool, a mutant telepath who can also project force fields; see the name is a play on how she can keep people out, but can also unlock their minds.

Oh I have a number of Heroes. And Villains too.

My first one was Wahrheit though, a hero that stood for truth and the safety of the innocents. Namely.. he was an out of work actor who got a bit out of it when he saw people getting mugged, so grabbed a prop sword from a Shakespeare festival and went a whackin'. This, coupled with his complete lack of regard for his own saftey made him quite a successful hero. (Broadsword/Regen!)

Also had an evil character who was a chartered accountant who liked his job. Loved being in accountancy. Then, well, while checking out a few numbers, a super soldier rampaged through the office, and he was hit with some nasty sciency stuff, found out he could make more money using his new powers, and grabbed the first clothes he could find as a costume. That's why Magmos had a purple wrestle's mask, a suit and tie, and tights with elf boots.

I loved making weird characters.

Edit: One of my faves. Leko-F3. F3 being his model number, as Lekon was a mage character I made. Leko-F3 was a tech based blaster. The storyline: Lekon wasn't the best mage out there. And in reading about a spirit conjuring technique, he figured that using improvised materials would do just fine. Making a spiritual summoning circle out of cheeto shavings and road flares just doesn't do well when you're casting a spell, thus why there's a robot (F3) with a complete mental copy of Lekon. Both their ID's mention this and end with the line "There's not much the two Lekon's can agree on.. except that that other guy is really a twerp."
