View Full Version : Possible COD 4 Double XP Weekend Next Week!

fourzerotwo (http://www.fourzerotwo.com/2008/09/02/double-xp-is-imminent/) writes that after returning from PAX that he is currently working on a promotion for next weekend (Sept. 13th & 14th) for Call of Duty 4 on both it's major consoles! However, this is unrelated to the new playlists.

Back from PAX means back to work, and while it’s a short week thanks to Labor Day it’s the one time I wish it wasn’t because I have a lot of stuff to get done. I’m currently working on getting everything organized and together for an upcoming Xbox Live / PSN promotion we have coming up the weekend of Sept. 13th - 14th. Which isn’t this weekend, but next weekend. I will have exact details on what it is in the near future but I have a gut feeling it’ll have Double XP attached to it for all those hungry for some power-leveling on Call of Duty 4.

I've been waiting for a while to have my Gold Cross, looks like next weekend is my chance. Still waiting for those playlists though.

Oh understood... and to answer if anyone hasn't yet capped, right here. My 360 RRoD'd right when I was reaching my 4th after putting it off for a while and then GTA IV came out.

Didn't you prestiege not too long ago Aggort? That puts you on the third one since I'm one ahead of you and I'll soon be on my fifth. If I'm just let me know.

My roommate just got into Call of Duty MP three or four days ago--he's level 20, and he's pretty damn bad, so I'm sure he'll appreciate the extra help.

I got the game at launch, then essentially quit after hitting 55.

I came back to it about a month ago and started prestige, and have been playing on and off. I'm only at 12 or so now so this will help me out a bit, though I'm not hugely driven to keep playing at this point anyway.

I love the game and can't get enough of it. On my second profile, since I like unlocking things after almost every match:P

Why is it always Double XP weekend for the consoles? I would like it for PC too, since I don't own it on console and don't intend too.
