Football, baseball, and some computer games - a good combination to what I will be doing this weekend. What will you be playing this weekend?

I'm taking a weekend FFXI break, so I will be playing ton of Disgaea 3 whatever chance I get. A little bit of Wild ARMs XF will be had, as well.
For some reason, I got the urge to pop in Warhawk this morning and had a good time with it for the little bit I was able to play, so there may be some of that as well. I don't know, I'm in one of my rare "I want to play a shooter" moods, so there's a few games lying around that I could pop in (Bioshock or Resistance more than likely).

Tabula Rasa, Football, then planning my 2 week 4 state road trip for work which starts Monday Morning. Thank god for my DS otherwise I would go nuts the next 2 weeks.

Back to work next week so I'll be trying to finish all the games I can this weekend.
Halo 3, Resistance, Far Cry, GRAW, and Myst 4 (yeah I know I'm old school) :)
I got friends coming over for some pen n paper rpg on saturday and on sunday the weather is apperently going to be craptastic so alot of WoW for me than I guess.

Not sure what's on the platter this weekend. I'm getting a bit bored with Tabula Rasa. I'll probably hit up a couple of battles in Puzzle Quest when I got a couple of free minutes. I'll rummage through the backlog and see what looks moist and delcious.
Vintage motorcycle rally with my daughter on Sunday! Old bikes rock! There's something almost Steam Punk-ish about those old machines!

I am now playing the Orks campaign in Soul Storm. Only three factions to go! Tau, Necron and the Imperial Guard.

I picked up Infinite Undiscovery this week. So far I'm enjoying it, but then I have pretty low standards at times. I also pulled out my Joystick and installed MechWarrior 4 last weekend. I'm going to continue working through the campaign in that. God, I love that game. We need a MechWarrior 5 badly. A MechCommander 3 would also be completely awesome.

I'm so confused, I have no idea what to play. Finished Braid speed runs last weekend, and have nothing but CoD4 to fall back on right now. I still have Perfect Dark Zero that I haven't finished yet (I got it at launch), but I think I'd rather gouge out my eyes.
Darkness maybe?? Have to find a copy...

Disgaea 3 and maybe some SimCity 4.
Disgaea 3's eaten up my evenings the last few nights, and I've got a city in SC4 of moderate size (around 70,000) that I want to grow. I finally got my city budget back up enough to finally buy the University (that had been sitting in my Gifts list for years), when I last played Monday. I'll probably have to build up the neighboring cities a bit too.

I'll be putting in a lot more time with Tiger Woods - the GamerNet Challenge feature keeps everything from getting boring. I love that, even when playing AI matches on your own, little opportunities to beat online records appear.
Otherwise, I think it's finally time I finished the 4th disc of Lost Odyssey...and maybe I'll get my ass handed to me (again!) by my girlfriend's son in Halo 3. :(

Interesting that the guy who runs the Sims franchise has been appearing on GFW lately and then Jeff Green gets hired by them.
Oh, and I'll probably play some Castle Crashers with my fiancee when we can.

Bionic Commando: Rearmed. Loving it. Also, some Aegis Wing since I only just learned this week that it was free. Beat it last night and it was pretty entertaining. And I might buy Braid. We'll see. I have 1200 pts to burn.
For retail games, Bully and/or Condemned 2. Perhaps Eternal Sonata or Blue Dragon. Need a small JRPG fix.

Single player CivRev (of course), but might try MP if the 1.20 patch hits; it passed MS certification two days ago, but it's still not on XBL.
Also, co-op Castle Crashers with my gf and maybe a PC title.
Oh, Gin Rummy on XBLA is a nice, mindless distraction for only $5, so I might play some of that.
But all those games take a back seat to NFL football on Sunday!
EDIT: Forgot to mention Braid, but that's likely because the damn game has twisted my brain into a pretzel!

I am hoping to finish Bully this weekend, I think I am pretty close to the end. I would also like to get in some coop play on something, just haven't decided what yet (MUA, Army of Two, RB6V2). If I have time, I may finally get around to starting Indigo Prophecy so I can play along with the backlog folks at 1up.

Damn. I love GFW Radio...I was wondering why there didn't appear to be one this week...I guess I'll have to survive with PC Gamer. Anyone listen to any other good PC-centric podcasts? Perhaps that's what I'll be doing this weekend...digging up new podcasts.
Game wise:
[Wii]
I'll continue my Wii Fit exercise routine.
Some Tak & Wiki
Some Chrystal Chronicles: MLAAK
Some Mario Galaxy
[PS3]
Will collect dust this week probably
[360]
If I ever get it back from my gf's brother, I'll go buy Viva Pinata 2.

Finally got a X360 with Too human and Ninja Gaiden 2 (brought a real cheap 3rl Xbox and fixed with X-clamp mod) , after almost a year of ps3 gamming only, a have a lot of catch up to do.
Probably will give a try on Ninja Gaiden 2 and Too Human.
The last Xbox game I brought was Mass Effect but I sold it with my dead xbox 8 months ago. I can’t get arcade games and multiplayer until I change my router because I’m out of wired ports. Any Xbox exclusive of the last 8 months that I should go look for?
If I have more time to spend I will give a try to Lair and Burnout Paradise(ps3) that just arrived by easyplay (a Brazilian “gamefly like” service).

I finally played through Portal and I now get what all the fuss was about. I don't think I've felt as immersed in a story arch since the original Half Life. Just good over all story telling, I'm glad I bought it. Guess Episode 2 is up next on the chopping block...and more TF2, of course. Does the EvAv TF2 crowd have a server running? I think I've honed my skills on the pub servers long enough.

The Orange Box-- Episode 2 and the Portal advanced maps. This whole week has been an Orange Box binge. I hadn't touched a Valve game since...four years ago? Right when Half-Life 2 came out. Fun to see what I've been missing. If only more people played TF2 on 360.

I'm taking a weekend FFXI break, so I will be playing ton of Disgaea 3 whatever chance I get. A little bit of Wild ARMs XF will be had, as well.
I am curious to see what your opinion of XF is. I was really interested in it leading up to it's release, being a fan of Srpgs and and the older Wild Arms Games. I was turned off though, after reading in reviews of the harsh difficulty, and not being able to power level to beat tough missions.
I like to play SRPGs because of the tactical nature of the battles, as well as the ability to beef up and customize your crew. I love power leveling in disgaea, and the thought of failing story missions multiple times before figuring out the right way to beat the level (as stated in a few reveiws of XF) doesn't seem like my cup of tea.
Is Disgaea 3 as good as the first two? I am a huge NIS fan, and the only reason I am not playing it is because I don't yet have a ps3...

I love it, but it's very different from other SRPGs: you really have to use actual strategy not only in the battles themselves but in what classes you bring to the battles. Where as most SRPGs the winning conditions rarely (if ever) deviate from the "kill all enemies" mantra, WAXF really changes it up. I'm only about 6 story battles in and already I've had a challenging (in a good way) escort mission, a stealth mission, and a mission where I just had to stay alive long enough to hit a switch to escape.
As far as "power leveling", I don't know. You can do non-story encounters, much like Final Fantasy Tactics, to gain levels, but they give less actual experience than normal battles. They do net you just as much CP (class points), though, which is what levels each job class you have (which is how you learn more class abilities, again kinda like FFT).
It's a very unique game, something you can't say about a lot of SRPGs. It feels fresh. The story isn't bad so far, and the music is fantastic, but the voice acting can be hit or miss. I'd say if you're looking for an SPRG that does things in a way that you're not used to, it's very much worth grabbing. RPGFan (http://www.rpgfan.com/reviews/wildarmsxf/index.html) has a review up that says it a bit better. :)

Hells yes. It's Disgaea, but more complex, if that's possible. El Presidente (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1632566&postcount=42) did a really nice write up in the Disgaea 3 thread that explains a lot.

Someone needs to tap this guy to create games for XBLA or something. I played through the first two levels just now thanks to you, and it's a great game. With a bigger budget, who knows? Even with the budget present, surprisingly good production values for such a game.

I thought the whole hacking/node thing was pretty cool. Especially if you can hack enemies. If the combat were to be a little more than just duck and shoot it would be really awesome. As it is, it's still really solid.

For all my CivRev SP games, I've chosen a Random leader. If I draw one I've already played and with whom I've won, I start a new game. So far, I have yet to draw the Aztec leader. They are definitely a domination victory civ and tough to play against.

Just got through with a lengthy Lost Odyssey session. Fifteen hours in, and I'm not even to disc two! Pretty thrilling game, and there's even a great deal of strategy involved in the battles. That's a pretty unique feature for the genre. I'm very impressed. :)
Luckily I have Halo 3 handy for times like this.

That's how you get sucked in. On Cheiftan...I used Egypt...you feel pretty good and think i'll play some more...and you do...then you are suddenly you are playing ALL the civilizations...a warning should be on the box or something...life ceases to exist around you when you start playing. Ok, so maybe only mine did...but the damn game is addictive...
