New Mythic Achievements?

I used to read this forum all the time but without the sidebar popup it sort of gets lost in the mess. But back on topic... Multiplayer achievements suck. Stop wrecking my matches by causing other players to focus on a specific achievement rather than just play the game.

The update will be available on the 23rd of September (http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=15519), although one achievement won't be available until the 25th, which, as Joystiq notes (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/19/halo-3-title-update-2-coming-september-23/), is Halo 3's birthday.

It's the 23rd of September, the second title update for Halo 3 is out (http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=15519) and the additional achievements are viewable at Xbox.com (http://live.xbox.com/en-US/profile/Achievements/ViewAchievementDetails.aspx?tid=%09%5d%3a%15%18*iA r%07). These new achievements bump up Halo 3's Gamerscore total to 1750. They also seem to mention (http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/09/23/new-halo-3-achievements-viewable-more-than-expected-and-mythic/) the names of five maps that will be included in the upcoming Mythic Map Pack.

Zero, because it doesn't work like that. You now get experience in each individual playlist. So, people will either get a playlist up to 7 EXP and save it for October 7th, or they will earn all the experience on the 7th. I love how you assumed that people would have to de-rank to earn a achievement that rewards players with zero Gamerscore.

Because players de-rank on purpose all the time, and this is another reason if they desire the achievement. If they've played everything past 7xp what's to stop them from de-ranking in something? Also since when was it only gamerscore that halo players cared about? Some of the lowest gamerscores I've ever seen have been on people who play Halo. Achievements are achievements.
