City of Villains Coralax Hybrids report

Boomtown (http://www.boomtown.net/en_uk/) has posted a report about some of the meanest foes in City of Villains: The Coralax Hybrids (http://rpg.boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art.view.php?id=9564) alongside five new screenshots of them.

In firm control of their watery domain, the Coralax were suddenly thrust into confusion when the god Merulina fell silent. As the Shapers cast about with no god to guide them, the threats from the surface began.
Personally, I avoid these buggers in the beta. They can be a hard nut to crack, especially if the server suddenly lags and become a sitting duck...

Can someone tell my why villians are fighting other baddies? Shouldn't they be fighting the forces of good?

Because there is a evil so powerful even evil fears it! Errr....actually it is because CoV is pretty much CoH with 'villian' skins.

Heh an explanation would propably be that they are fighting for control and power on the islands. Plus there are actually hero corps NPCs fighting the bad guys too. See it as some kind of gangster war :)

What Perigon said. Villains fight amongst themselves just as often as they fight heroes. In fact, almost every single villain team-up in comic history has ended with the villains fighting eachother.

Yep, I think it was the old "What if" series that hand all the heros and villain in the universe put on a planet to fight. heros team up, villains fought eachother for power. I think it was also used as a alternate story line to how spider man found the venom parasite. I miss the "what ifs". but as the villains fighting villians, Sounds cool enough, my WoW paycard ran out so i might pop COH in when i pick up COV.

Actually, that storyline happened in a mini called Secret Wars that wasn't a What If.

But good news if you miss the old wacky What If comics: Marvel's coming out with a series of them in November, I believe. I'm grabbing the What If: Thor written by Robert Kirkman that's about Thor becoming Galactus's herald instead of the Silver Surfer.
