Shacknews (http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/54526) is reporting that this sweet looking, SSX inspired racing title will get a demo this Thursday, September 4th.

A downloadable demo for Black Rock Studio's offroad racing game Pure will arrive for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners this Thursday, publisher Disney has revealed.

Available from the online PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Maketplace, the demo is set in the Italy-based Mount Garda track, with players competing in a three-lap race against 15 AI opponents.

Combining the trick-based speed boosts of EA's SSX series with the four-wheeled antics of Black Rock's work on ATV Offroad Fury 3 and 4, the full version of Pure hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall.

If nothing else, this game at least LOOKS beautiful.

What the hell ever happened to SSX, anyways? I love those games.

Last game was for the Wii called SSX Blur. It came out about a year and a half ago. I honestly felt the series peaked at Tricky.

SSX 3 was great, though getting around could be a bit annoying.

If you like SSX, look for Stoked coming out in November for $40 on 360. Also, Shaun White's Snowboarding is coming, but Stoked at PAX looked very nice. I think SSX is, for some reason, dead. The execs probably thought the last one didn't sell well and killed it, without realizing that it didn't sell well because it was released about 1 month before 360 launch!

Honestly I would attribute it to the fact that it was a bad game, and in no way lived up with SSX3 or Tricky.

I had to do a double take when I saw the Disney logo on the poster for this game... Wow, way to step up there Mikey.
