Bruce Shelley interview

I've been playing AOE 3, and its pretty much been everything I've expected. Decently paced, fun multiplayer, and some good unlockables. On medium, the A.I. isn't that great, but I gotta feeling I'd be stomped on hard.

I'm not gonna get it. I played the demo. It's pretty. It's fun and all, but honestly, I know I'll get bored REAL quick of playing a RTS set in colonial America. I mean seriously, if it spanned eras I could do it, but come on. Colonial America. Dawn of war is just too cool I guess :) I feel so immature! Still, I'll pick up Civ4 instead.

I really liked Age of Mythology (especially the Single Player campaign, although it was rather short). At the same time, I have too many other games I want to play right now. I'll buy this when it gets a Madness sale on Gogamer.com.

AOE 3 crashes like a mommy humper mid-game every game and its always when I hit the "arrow" keys to move the screen around. That's the primary way I play so that bothers me that it crashes if I do that.

Ok... so don't buy it. Don't rain on our parade. Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean you have to try to make other people dislike it. How utterly pointless is your logic.
So what if they keep making these games? It's not a waste of time because they are making tons of money. Plus people enjoy these games and there are tons of companies out there that make great games in other genres. Besides, if Ensemble tried to make something in another genre, they'd probably suck royally at it-- this is their forte and you shouldn't grief them for that (or us, for liking it that way).

As for whether or not I'm getting it? I bought it at 10AM This morning when Best Buy opened. :) Along with City of Villains, which I've been beta testing for the last month or so and loving.
Ahh... $100 down, $500 to go. I love gaming. So frigging expensive this time of year.

I'd say get new keyboard drivers. I've played it on 4 of my computers so far and haven't had a problem like that (plus, each has a different brand keyboard: Kensington, Logitech, Microsoft and some generic POS).
