Finally, the rumor has proven true.

AUSTIN, TX (October 10, 2005) - Aspyr Media today announced it has signed an exclusive publishing agreement with JoWooD to publish four of JoWooD’s award-winning compilation PC titles in North America. This is the first time North American players will be able to purchase SpellForce Platinum, Gothic II Gold, Silent Storm Gold, and The Guild Gold in the U.S. and Canada. All of the compilations include the original title and their corresponding expansion packs. In SpellForce Platinum, players will get three games in one – the original, its sequel, and the game’s add-on pack. Each compilation pack will sell for $19.99 and all are scheduled for release in November 2005.

Everytime I see Blues News, I have to start singing, "We are looking for Blue's clues... We are looking for Blue's clues, I wonder whey they are..." Just wait until you have kids and they start watching the tv show Blue's Clues... On another side note - can't wait for Night of the Raven and SpellForce Plat...

I thought The Guild Gold was already released here in the US (Europa 1400 Gold edition), anyway can't wait for the silent storm gold edition!

Glad I've never seen Blues clues. I always think "All the news that's fit to post." when I see the site, oh and have that mental image of the quake guy reading a newspaper.

Is Gothic 2 worth checking out, i tried the demo and didn't really like it, but demos can be decieving. So i'll ask the good old folks at EA.

What did you not like about it?

The controls in Gothic2 are already simplfied (you should see gothic1). But honestly, when I started, I came within an inch of uninstalling it. Now? I'm playing Gothic1 and I think it's fine.

Jetherik's such a diehard to be posting oldass news about this, like for the 3rd time now, hahaha :D

it's just too bad that once again, JoWood took so long to get a distributer, the english version of NOTR has been piratable since JULY. They really need to get on the ball with their releases before Gothic 3.

Gothic 2 is great. The first part is a bit hard (and even harder with the add on), but it is very enjoyable to play. And the second time playing it, even more so.

Spellforce was/is an excellent game as well. There should have been a review written on it for EA, but the writer enjoyed playing it so much, they played it again instead of writing the review. I hope Evil has forgiven the writer on that... But, that should tell you how good the game is.

But IPMiller is right, JoWood has had bad luck with Publishers... Atari just royally screwed them over with Gothic 2 distribution. I was glad GoGamer was able to get me the English European version of it instead of waiting forever for the US version. From what I hear, Gothic 3 American version should be out about six weeks after the German version is released - not 6-12 months.

Thanks for getting the Blues Clues theme song stuck in my head! :)

Oh yeah, I can't wait for Spellforce & Gothic 3. I don't know if I'll have time to go back and play Gothic 2 again with all the new stuff coming out.

Spellforce came with my new shiny NVidia 7800 GX. I installed it last night, thinking it was most likely junk. It turns it out it's pretty damn good. My son quickly took over playing the tutorial and declared "it's awesome."

It's an RTS game so far, somewhat more complex than the likes of Warcraft 3. There's a touch of RPG as well. Your main heroes have inventory and you can customize them as they level up. So far, so good.

The voice acting in Spellforce was horrid though. I couldn't finish the game because of it.
