Digital Life '08 - Canceled

I was planning on going to DE08 (http://www.digitallife.com/newyork/), but just received this email:

The DigitalLife show scheduled for September 25-28 has been postponed. After reviewing plans for the show, the organizers weren't confident that they could present a show experience that was consistent with the successes of prior years. Hopefully a bigger and stronger DigitalLife will return in 2009. We will make additional announcements about the future of the show when details are available.

Refunds for tickets already purchased will be issued to the credit cards that were used in the initial ticket-buying transaction. The refunds should appear on credit card statements within the next two weeks. For more information, please e-mail info@digitallife.com.

This was my east coast, poor man's, alternative to PAX this year... and now, I have no alternative.

That is a real shame. I was not planning on attending but it sounds like it would have been a nice, public-centric show.
