MTV.com (http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1511362/10122005/story.jhtml) has a story regarding an upcoming SpyHunter movie starring The Rock. Apparantly there's a game in the works as well to be released with the movie.

As for the movie, the Rock said the video game car is making a successful transition to the big screen. "That thing is unbelievable. It jets off that mountain, turns into a boat when it hits the water, comes right back on the ground, turns into a motorcycle. It's really incredible." The script is now being handled by writer Stuart Beattie, who worked on "Pirates of the Caribbean."
Can't wait to hear the Peter Gunn theme on the big screen.

That reminds me, I gotta update my copy from the old VHS tape I bought almost 15 years ago but most places near me only stock Blues Brothers 2000:(

I liked Pirates, but the source material for Spy Hunter has so much less to go on.

With all the vehicle conversions they are talking about its likely to be another gimmick movie which is typical and unexciting. Stealth, ISPY, SpyKids the movie?

Actually Spykids probably has the best story of all three.

Anyway my whole point is, if its gonna be a lame gimmick movie, why dont they just target it at kids out of the gate. This may have an adverse effect on the sales of the game that is simul shipping with it, but it might actually get better reviews. "Its only for kids so I can be more lenient in the review"

Did anyone hear the interview with the rock on fox sports net? He was like in spy hunter 3 its going to be a ground breaking game. You can now actually leave the car and go hunt down bad guys. I was like, erm, gta has been doing that for ages.
