Oh great, I can't wait to play this either.

Unfortunately classes start next week, so I'm stuck squeezing in little bits of gaming time.

I've had the first one sitting on a shelf for a while and haven't played it. I probably should, I think I'll like it.

More S.T.A.L.K.E.R, I welcome you.

But wasn't it supposed to launch on 29th August? That was what my clock was set to. Fuck it, no biggie. More time for Castle Crashers.

Awesome! Looks like all those years of struggling with the Stalker engine paid off in the end if the team can add all that new content and features so quickly.

sigh.. I now i need to finish up the orginal by then. Damn you warcraft for stealing all my time. Loving the first one tho, just wish I could actually play something consistently without warcraft interupting.

Looks like I'm making my first trek through nuclear wastelands in Chernobyl before I can make my way stateside and play through a wasted Washington.

Yay for nuclear disasters!

I installed the latest STALKER patch before checking to see what the mod community was about, so I honestly put the original aside after only playing a little bit until the time when I felt I could uninstall and start over with the 'proper' patch.

The site I regularly get games from could no longer get Bioshock after I already paid for them, so I got some store credit. I expect to be using that credit on this. PLEASE BE GOOD.

p.s Got a 2nd hand Bioshock.

Will this game be a big gameplay jump over the first Stalker? There's alot of things I really hated about the first one, but I really love the setting and atmosphere.

Damn Straight.
But through your first wasteland, no silly auto aim or pausing time. Stalker could be pretty unforgiving, hence it's extreme awesomeness.

From what I gather the changes to gameplay are minor, like 90% of any game sequel (prequel). What didn't you like about the gameplay of the the first one?
