View Full Version : New Madden 06 Gameplay footage for Xbox 360

Saw this over on Xboxyde.com (http://xboxyde.com/). Seems like the video they had posted was requested to be removed by EA and they replaced it with direct feed footage.

EA contacted to remove this video because they did not find it to be a good representation of the game. In exchange they gave me these 3 brand new direct feed gameplay videos. I won't complain :)
Looks pretty nice I must say. I especially like the xray at the end of the 3rd video :)

I'm just impressed that EA pulled a non-dick maneuver and compensated a site instead of threatened to shut it down and take it to court for all the wrong reasons.

The lack of self shadowing is pretty embarrassing for a next-gen sports game.

The other thing that's pretty embarassing is that the models still move like they are on a vertical pole. What's with that? On the first video 3/4ths of the way through a guy in the upper left corner does a 180š turn with NO transition. WOW NICE. I remember seeing games from the late 90's that didn't do THAT.

Is it just me, or does the framerate look really choppy? In game, I mean, not the movies themselves...

Damn how they have fooled the sheep with the e3 vid. The Referee looks nice and the crowds, thatīs it. The slo-mo animations are not next-gen.

They made nfl 2006 for 360 because they have to. They used a minimal team to do it. 2007 has been in dev for 3 years now.
