Starting to look much better... I guess realistic snow, good sound and nice long runs is what real snowboarders want so I am looking forward to this game more and more.

That new Amped just looks soooo damn good. And the gameplay sounds pretty awesome. The Amped series have been my favorite snowboarding games for the Xbox(even though I enjoyed the heck out of the SSX games), and this looks to make the game that much better with all the new things you will be able to do. I especially like the fact that all my top runs AND crashes will be posted online for all to see. I will definitely be picking this one up....

it's a bit.. bland? Is it trying to be realistic? Cos from watching the Winter X games etc. I've never seen slopes that smooth before. Nit picking but, seriously. And what's the point in the "all new physics engine"? If it's realistic physics, your rider will break his legs after landing the jumps shown in the screenshots. Gravity = 0.1f;
But if you're a fan of snowboarding or the series, you'll probably enjoy it. ^^;

I've played a few rounds of each of the previous games and they just don't hold up to the excitement of SSX. I wanna like the Amp games, but they are so bland to me.

SSX = racing game with snowboards
Amped = snowboarding game

I can understand people not liking Amped, but as a snowboarder I just can't stand SSX (but probably most people prefer this game).

Amped 2, with that whole flair system where you have to go slow to earn big points sorta ruined the game for me.

I hope they dump that nonsense for #3.

Once you got used to it it was awesome. I loved Amped 2, but when I first heard about how there was going to be a story i almost shit myself. By the sounds of things they dropped that.

However, make no mistake, I am a real snowboarder and these games are about as real as the Tony Hawk games are to skateboarding. As of right now though I still have no intention of getting a 360, so I guess it really doesn't matter to me. Sorry for wasting your time.

Common getting stupid amounts of air, knowing every trick to know. And whipping out button componations to get tricks. Tony Hawk is as real as it gets, its MORE real then real!

I could really enjoy that game. Just go for a nice run looking at that great scenery, and such. But the question is, is that a game?

I don't know. I hate SSX, but when I picked up Amped the controls really bothered me. I don't see why I have to hold up to keep accelerating.

Are those screenshots of a snowboarding game, or a flying game? I don't think you spend any time on the ground... unless they cherry-picked the screenshots to release to make it LOOK exciting.
