XBOX365.com (http://www.xbox365.com/news.cgi?id=GGuLLHNPLH10101029) has pictures up of the retail packaging for xbox 360 peripherals such as the wireless/wired controller, memory card, and remote control.

But.... when are we going to get definitive screenshots of the packaging of the cologne that the delivery guy will be wearing who brings my pre-ordered 360 to Wal-Mart?!! ;)

The branding is much better than that of the original. I like the whiteness of it all. Good work MS.

Wait, though, those packages suck, they're the tough type. I never manage to open them without a knife or something else equally sharp.

Edit: How can I get myself one of those fancy messages under my name? Having plain 'Subscriber' is kind of dull. :(

Actually got to see the retail boxes today...they are pretty neat looking. More squarish...it's an odd looking shape really. Very stylish though.

I'm not sure how one get's the 'Subscriber' title. The default title is based on how many posts you have ranging from Peon at 1 post to Evil Dead at 250+, I believe.

If, however, you donate money to the site, you can choose whatever title you like by messaging EvilAvatar.

Seriously these shots look to be taken by putting the packaging on some nasty false tiled floor then using a cell phone to take pictures... The next time the gaming news industry does an op to recover info can we please invest in a camera? How about a 3$ film dispossable?

Probably because in the situations these people are presented with they are not afforded the time or foresight to bring a proper camera with them and are using their phone or ...gameboy camera, y'know, whatever comes to hand.

If you donated money in the past, you should be able to change it. That's how we all got them, you pick your own when you donate. No specific amount, just a donation.

And speaking of which, when are we paying members going to be able to change our titles on the fly? I'm really itching for a Cock-Gobbling Whore title. Or not.

The packaging is called "clam shell" and if the shortages for 360 occur the way its anticipated you wont have to return the hardware to retail, you can sell it on ebay and double your money. I have 10 ordered at different gamestops in my area under aliases, I figure I will pay for my own bundle that way. jk :)

I've returned tons of stuff that came in the hard plastic shit. I cut it all to hell and still bring it back to the store. It's not your problem they choose to package it that way. The store has to deal with it.
